K E Y....why? 'cause we like you!

M O U S E....
MICKEY MOUSE.

Next door to us, a young gal celebrated her birthday last weekend, and when I left the garage, backing out with the car, Mickey was waving goodbye to me from her doorstep.

For fun today, I thought of participating in Saturday's Photo Hunt. At least 'til I went over to see the prompt for the week....'selfie'?!! Other than seeing our goofy leader and his insane antics with diplomats and the media covering his 'selfies', I thought I'd try my hand at catching the resident Mickey while hunting... and ask him to take a selfie since I don't do mine....He obliged!!

§ Sit a spell....this meme'll take some time!!

Sunday Stealing:

Our dear hostess, Harriet ===This meme will either age me a great deal or show y'all I did my homework this time. LOL... I don't know which. As, I LOVE Disney!! [mostly because of the art, but the music is great also!!] My answers I made a bit interactive...click on the buttons and listen/watch. It'll be a bit o' fanciful fun with the king of movies....Mr. Disney-----------

Sunday Stealing: Harriet's Choice: The Disney Meme

1. Which non-Disney Princess Disney Film is your favorite? At first, no after reading this question three times over, I think I understand it now. It means a leading lady that was done by Disney that isn't a princess? Then, my answer would be:

2. Which Disney film makes you cry the most? I know I refused to go see it, and still refuse to watch it---Eight Below!!! I really can't recall doing much crying during Disney movies...it's a toss up between two for the animated movie genre - One from long ago I think. ...a story about an orphaned girl- it'd be The Rescuers -about Penny. And Brother Bear, a Native American story of the relationships/ties between humans and animals:

3. Which Disney film makes you the happiest? Happiest only 'cause it's a favorite movie for me. The humor mainly:

4. Which Disney film has the best music?
Music? As in "NO LYRICS" ---a theme song? No doubt here...it HAS to be [I love the drums...the rhythm, the beat, the acoustics!!]:

POTC

5. Which Disney film has the best love story?
It'd have to be the love of his dogs...in Eight Below. [I know of it...Bud saw it....and the man's love for his sled dogs----well, tears are welling...you know what I mean if you know the story---this is LOVE at it's highest]

6. Who is your favorite Disney Princess? 7. Who is your favorite Disney Prince? This couple is so reminiscent of a favorite novel of mine so #6 and & #7 answers would be for the same movie [the story reminds me of Phantom of the Opera in so many ways with disfiguration and love of a beautiful woman]

8. Who is your favorite Disney animal sidekick?

Probably "Baloo" from 'The Jungle Book'...the bear. The BEAR necessity in the movie. LOL

9. Who is your favorite Disney main character animal? Only 'cause he becomes the great 'prince' of the forest. I like it still today. I like it because of the strength his mother taught him even after she is gone...he grew up strong because of her will given to him at birth!

10. Who is your favorite villain?

11. What is your favorite Disney song?

From 'Song of the South'

12. What is your favorite Disney villian song?

From Lady and the Tramp

13. What is your favorite Disney animal song?

14. What is your favorite Disney Princess song?

From Snow White

15. What is your favorite Disney Prince song? I'm not 'into' much of the prince and princess Disney...but as an adult the only prince that can really sing isn't even royalty, and not considered prince by definition, ....but, when he sings he's a PRINCE to me... I melt when I hear this song:

But the real Disney Prince song would be:

From Lion King

16. What is your favorite Disney Prince/Princess duet song?

From Aladdin

17. What is your favorite Disney love song?

From Lion King

Which Disney Princess Are You???

According to the answers you have just chosen you are most like the Disney Princess Belle.

Belle is as lovely as her name implies but her natural unaffected beauty is far more than skin deep. An intelligent and avid reader Belle yearns for faraway places and exciting adventures. She is a loyal, loving daughter and when the beast finally wins her trust she gives him all her kindness and patience and then realizes she has also given him her heart. With her inner strength and outward beauty, Belle is a young woman who can and does make things happen.

REGARDING THE TSUNAMI THREAT on the islands of Hawai'i....I'm glad it was a 'bust'....and I hope when and if there is another situation like yesterday's, that the citizens still continue to pay heed to their government and reach high land when told to do so!!!

I made a YouTube slide show of the Disney on Ice photos from last Thursday evening. The few that are at the end are not very clear because of the spotlights that were in my eyes/camera lens...
Turn up the volume if you have speakers. It's a favorite piece of music from Disney that I especially like!!!

PHOTO HUNT 2009 THEMES

PLASTIC

Truthfully? I almost took a photo of our plastic recycle container that we set out at curbside bi-monthly. LOL It's filled with plastic items. But, it was too hot [near 90 degrees -Farenheit, I didn't want to go back outside]. Besides, who really wants to look at someone's garbage, right? The A C was on, so I took a trip around the house in much comfort, and found these two. Plastic toys.

Top one is from the movie, SHREK....Donkey. It's an action figure. The bottom one is the face of one of my Cabbage Patch Dolls.

Thom at Thom's Place.... tagged me.

Here is the gist of it all. You name the person that tagged you, which I did...see? Thom, above this. So far, so good. This blond was able to follow for that. The next thing to do is to list six things that are unimportant, but make me happy. Easy 'nough. [I've been called a cheap date before....errrr, um. Well, I think you understand that. Get your mind out of the gutter now, y'hear?] Then, when that's done, tag 6 bloggers. So on with the show...Here, are my list of sixes [6 things, and 6 bloggers]:
    1. A day filled with sunshine and cool breezes
    2. My sweet cheeks' cheek dimples!! He still has his youthful grin
    3. Making lists [may not be important, but having a list made out to not forget sure makes me happy]
    4. A clothes brush handy ---wearing black and holding Winston. White, long-haired Winston.
    5. Inspirational idea for a watercolor project on paper
    6. The Gulf of Mexico at 'my back door'. Seriously, it's unimportant--I could reside anywhere, but it's gonna make me happy none the less

Normally, I don't tag specifically. I always post that if you'd like to do the tag; go ahead. But....
      I'm TAGGING this time.

You'll know who you are. Just look here:

It's all about Disney today!

These programs are a lot of fun! Bud and I stopped by a ticketmaster the other day when we were out and about and bought admission for one of next week's evening shows. Disney On Ice The show will have costumed characters from "The Lion King", "Peter Pan", "The Little Mermaid", "101 Dalmatians", "Lilo and Stitch" and more... Bud and I have attended a few of these programs and we've never been disappointed. They're much better than sitting at home, watching TV...more entertaining. And besides, you just can't deny that Disney is good and wholesome. What comes to mind for me as I type is: From Peter Pan - "Well, I will not grow up. You cannot make me!" -. The first portion of my Show n Tell this week is:

Yes, I've been to Disneyland. In Anaheim. And yes, of course, I have always loved what Disney produces for us. They've been around for decades. The artwork on the big screen and through television has put me in awe constantly. The stories always have a moral. They continually teach kids and adults a lesson in life [with the adults, I think, it's to keep reminding us there IS a kid still inside you, and not to forget to live a little---have fun---remember sometimes, to forget the stresses of being a grownup!] And yes, I have loved the classics like Snow White, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc. etc. But, there is one particular movie that I took my kids to see one hot summery day back in the late 70's that I still, to this day, must admit that it is an all-time favorite of mine. I fell in love with the characters Bernard and Miss Bianca...Evinrude, Miss Medusa and Snoops!!! Somedays, even now, I find myself singing Penny's song...."Who will rescue me?" It's a darling film, less known than most of Disney's films, but still an all time favorite of mine. Here is a 4 minute opening credit of the classic. Which brings me to my 2nd portion of Show n Tell this week. I have this collector's item---

...and original vinyl [33 1/3 rpm] soundtrack from "The Rescuers"
