All weekend, I have had to resort to the cellphone for internet access. The desktop computer and the cable connection worked only a minute or two at a time, then would lose network contact. Today [Monday] a technician from the cable company will be here to hopefully find out what the problem is, and get it fixed!! In the meantime, I am up early and the modem is working so I'll get this post published, but I will probably not be able to repay a visit to the commentors 'til the problem is resolved. OR use the teeny-tiny cellphone monitor which isn't the BEST solution! Besides, the phone is much slower than cable.

HEALTH/cardiologist appointment UPDATE
Arriving at the cardiologist's office 15 minutes early, I sat in the waiting room after signing in. Waited some more, and waited, and waited and waited. How do they expect you to have a good blood pressure reading when the anxieties soar, keeping the patients in the examining room for so long before the doctor finally shows up to talk with you? I had so many questions. But, once he did come in the roon, and after the examination, he took the time to answer all my questions, fully and completely. I left feeling pretty good. And usually, I have what they call "White Coat Syndrome"....but that day, no such thing. My blood pressure was 128/60. Most times, during doctor's exams, it soars to "high" instantly.
Heart sounded healthy...breathing was clear, blood pressure, excellent, blood work after he read the copies I gave to him from my primary care physician, he was very pleased with ALL the results. I was given the 'go ahead' for doing anything in the realm of exercising, walking, yard work, etc. EVEN traveling to Colorado and High Altitude areas....thin air and high altitude [at least now for me living at 10 feet above sea level for so long...traveling to places like Leadville Colorado at 2 MILES High!!] would really put a strain on my heart!! He had me laughing a bit when he told me just before he left the room "Anni, do anything you want, except dishes!!!" I relayed that to Bud right away!!!! LOL I celebrated by going out and buying me a new stationary recumbent bike so I can exercise without having to go out in the 97 degree heat. Thanks everyone for the well wishes this past week. I was hoping for the best news; your words of kindness and prayers, I know.........helped it all be true.

Very happy to read the good news on your doctor's appointment Anni. Congratulations. Loved the no dishes comment. Also loved your birds. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks....and have a happy week yourself Denise.
Delete....and flowers :)
ReplyDelete...glad you enjoyed the flowers also. :-)
DeleteLove your bird photos and the flowers, too!
ReplyDeleteWonderful news from your doctor!
Have a great week!
Lea
Thank you so much Lea
DeleteHello Anni, congrats on the good health report. That is great news! Enjoy that bike! I love your beautiful images from your gardens. Lovely flowers. The Doves are so sweet. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI will enjoy the bike...especially during the heat of the summer when I don't want to be outside much in the heat. Thanks Eileen.
DeleteI especially like the photo of the rose bud. I think the rose has the most beautiful of buds and when it blooms it just proves it! So good to hear you had good news from the Dr. We're off to MT/CO in a week. Have a grand day!
ReplyDeleteOh I do too....that rose, is a climbing rose and one of my all time favorites. Such a beautiful velvety red.
DeleteThanks Cathy.
Great news on your health! Lovely snippets of your yard.
ReplyDeleteAs a former employee of a women's workout center; good choice on the stationary bike for a healthy heart. (I hear you on the white coat ;)
Oh good to know!!! I am enjoying working out on it too....no extreme heat while on it. LOL
DeleteThanks Gayle.
Great news report about your health !!!
ReplyDeleteI love these fantastic pictures from your backyard !!
Happy new week, Anni !
Thank you Ela....and happy week for you too!!
DeleteThat is just wonderful news! I used to live in Boulder, Colorado, at 5000 feet elevation and was never bothered by the altitude, but when my mother came to visit, she had real difficulty. I took her to the High Country and she took one step out at 10,000 feet and sat down! So glad to hear you are in full recovery mode, Anni. And your back yard is simply lush and beautiful. :-)
ReplyDeleteYep....growing up in Colorado was nothing...but now that I am acclimated to LOW altitude, I know it'll be a challenge...he told me to just slow down and take it easy....I won't be there for a LONG period....but still. Must keep a vigil watch on the heart rate. Thanks DJ
DeleteWonderful cardio news! I am so happy for you. Enjoy your trip to Colorado!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos as always.
We aren't going yet....but I did get the 'okay' to go up that high without too much worry. Thanks Florence.
DeleteGreat news regarding your health! Please tell me the name of the 2nd photo flowers. I have never seen such red and yellow blooms! I'd also like to learn the name of the 5 petaled little blue cluster.
ReplyDeletethe yellow and red/orange cluster blossoming plant [2nd one] is called ixora I believe. And the blue/lavender cluster plant is called plumbago. Thanks Ms. G
DeleteOh your photos are splendid!! OMGosh these came from your phone!?!!!
ReplyDeleteBravo on the great report. I have recumbent bike that I love. It has a place to rest a book or my iPad.
I've been know to have White coat syndrome too. The worst was when my dr. moved to a new office located in downtown. Her original office was in a shopping center near home. Plenty of parking without stress. The new office has a section of parking reserved for patients in at 4 story deck...the reserved spot is in the far back corner of the 3 rd floor. They sent instructions for finding it by the time I found it was fuming and late for the appt. I made sure she knew that. LOL
Hugs Cecilia
....and they tell us to avoid stress?!!!
DeleteThanks M&M
Anni, always such beautiful flowers and birds. Good luck with your internet connection. I can relate after spending two weeks without. Now I'm on wifi for a month traveling. Working well so far!
ReplyDeleteIt isn't fun....I deplore slow connection and I would think having NO internet would be better...at least I would attempt using the phone. LOL
DeleteThanks Linda
Lovely shots. Hope you get your Internet sorted out!
ReplyDeleteSo far....the 'fix' is working beautifully. Thanks Fiona.
DeleteSo terrific to read your health report, Anni!! That's great news and I'm so happy for you!! I love your beautiful captures as always and, as always, they're a perfect way to start my day!! Hope you have a wonderful new week!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly Sylvia...always a pleasure having you stop by to visit.
DeleteGlad to hear your time with cardiologist went good. Such pretty flowers and I believe I see a bean plant.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
The 'bean' seed pod is part of the plant after blossoming...
DeleteToo bad you didn't catch that bird Anni!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is just beautiful and I love
that big "teacher" frog :))
And I'm so glad to hear that everything
is fine with you Anni :) Love that comment
from your doc about the dishes :D
Have a beautiful week!
Tinna ✐
I'll never do dishes again!! :-) Thanks Tinna
DeleteLots of pretty stuff in your back yard. Good news on the doctor appointment. I wonder if i can get an appointment with him so I can get out of doing dishes too :)
ReplyDeleteI know...we should ALL have doctors this wise!!

Thank you!!!!
DeleteHaha! Glad you got doctor's orders to avoid dishes...but everything else is good! Love your backyard; it's beautiful--and so is the dove.
ReplyDelete...thanks Bethany!! I will try my hardest to heed his words of wisdom about 'dishes'.
DeleteThat looks a great and colourful back yard and clearly appreciated by those birds! #ourworldtuesday
ReplyDelete...I'm happy you enjoyed this post Stephanie.
DeleteSO glad you got an "A" on your report card at the doctor's office! Fabulous photos - per usual - but I have to ask; what are those huge and gorgeous red/yellow flowers in the top left photo? They are stunning!
ReplyDeleteI was super sick for about 7 or 8 years (cancer, a muscle disease, yadda yadda) and just to keep things entertaining, I used to give "laundry" as one of my allergies when I was riding the medical merry-go-round from one specialist to another. Amazing how many different nurses actually started to write that one down before the bulb came on ;o) No more dishes would be some medical advice I could definitely get behind! *laugh*
Lovin' that...I'm gonna add that to my allergy list for sure!
DeleteAs for the plant, that is called an Ixora. Usually found in Old Mexico I believe. They thrive here in South Texas.
Excellent news Anni. The internet issues would not help my health though. So infuriating when its not working properly. Lovely pictures as always. Like the cute little Sparrows.
ReplyDeleteInfuriating indeed!!! Thanks Adam, loved your red footed falcon images today!!!
DeleteI enjoyed the fine photos. Glad your blood pressure was good.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to know you enjoyed this post Linda...Thanks!
DeleteI hope your network problems get sorted out very quickly! And I am glad your doctor was pleased with your health progress.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the pelican among your backyard flowers - beautiful without the mess they usually leave!
I never thought of it that way...but you're right on the 'no mess' pelican. Thing is, the smaller seed eaters tend to dirty up the statue somewhat. Thanks for the kind thoughts of me AND my modem woes Mick!!!
DeleteIt's nice to see some colorful flower images. Mostar is facing great heatwaves and all of our flowers are barely holding on...

The heat is unmerciful here too...but we do have quite a bit of moisture in the air so that helps with the plant life.
DeleteAll so pretty and those Doves, always love them. I almost always have trouble as for now am on my laptop as husby is still alseep in master bedroom where the desktop is. This la[top, to view blogs, leave comments, why molasses is a whole lot faster. once the husby gets up and on the desktop, I am at his mercy for having time. When they shut down, they shut down for up to 3 days here, until help comes. Hoping you get back up and running. What did we do before computers anyway...maybe I need to Bing, or Google that ;) Not!
ReplyDeleteyep, yep...slow connection time just riles my innards!! lol
DeleteSo thankful for your good report, Anni! Your backyard is beautiful and I hope you get a shot of that cardinal!
ReplyDeleteThanks June...on ALL accounts.
DeleteSome great photos!!! Love the birds...great lighting and clarity!!! And congratulations on getting doctor's orders to not do the dishes!!! I'm going to the doctor next week...maybe I can get a doctor's note to leave the dust bunnies alone!!!
ReplyDeleteDishes, Laundry, now dust bunnies...we're on a roll!!!!
DeleteLove the birds, but even better the good doc report... Yes, do not touch those dishes.. LOL... Michelle
ReplyDelete...thanks Michelle
