Sandy, at Myanderings sent along this cute, adorable award for me!! I love this. As I told her, I am definitely related to the monkey --I LOVE bananas and I can spread my toes to grab things. This is a precious award. I thank you very much ---and the ironic part of the whole thing is that I was just about ready to go to HER blog and tell her she had something from me today!!! Gotta love it!!
If I may, I'd like to pass this "Royal Banana" on to: Vic, Mary, Carolyn, Karen, Kelli, & Jen
This is our antique officer's cavalry saddle that we just finished making the saddle holder for so it'd would fit in the corner of our "Old West" room. The enlargement says 11 1/2 inch seat. Boy howdy, do I wish I HAD an eleven and a half inch seat!!! [just call me Twiggy!]
ReplyDeleteoh, anni!! thanks so much for the valentine treat!!!
ReplyDeletei love your saddle shot... and you totally deserve your blog of the year award!
I love this award!!! Just to cute!! Thank you so very much and I will pass it along on Meme Monday!! Love and Hugs Grams
ReplyDeleteAww...Annie..thanks so much!! This is my first Valentine and it is very special to me!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the other awards...they are well deserved!!
Congrats on all of your awards sweetie.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the Valentine, Anni!!! {{{HUGS}}}!!! You're too cool and I love your saddle, too. I had a butt that small. Once. When I was born.
ReplyDeleteThanks again!!!!!!!!!!
I agree that saddle looks a little small.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Well hello there Twiggy!! hehe I'd love to see the cavalry officer that was able to fit his tush in such a small saddle! lol Congratulations on the latest awards you received, dear Anni, you deserve every one of them out there. Your blog is truly a delight to visit and although I sometimes don't have time to visit every day, I'm always anxious to see what you've posted:-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Blogger of the Year Award 2007. You certainly are one of the most creative bloggers that I visit with your seasonal and festive decorations and added touches like the quill writing your signature.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the valentine. February 14th is a very special day for me as that is the birthday of our youngest son.
Anni,
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly deserving of all the awards. Your blog is so creative and always makes me smile. If you knew me better, you'd know I'm not the sort of person who smiles often. Not because I'm sad, just because I'm not a smiler. You are turning me into one, dear friend.
Thanks for the cute banana award. I absolutely LOVE it!!!
Have a great evening. Talk to you tomorrow.
Blessings,
Mary
Nice picture! It's always nice visiting your upbeat, colorful blog. God bless.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Valentine - my first this year! Which reminds me, I have to get going on my son's stuff for school. Hard to believe that it can slip on you like that, but almost every holiday sneaks up on me.
ReplyDeleteAnd, uh, ladies? I don't think you're supposed to fit your WHOLE rear end into the saddle. Just the part where your legs meet because mostly a saddle is so you have somewhere to put your legs to control the horse...
11 1/2 inch!! LOL~
ReplyDeleteCongrats on ur newly achieved awards from such great friends of urs :)
(((HUGS))) OH, Thank you, Anni--this was so sweet and so appreciated. It is ending my day wonderfully:) I will pass it on! I hope I can make someone feel as special as you have just made me:)
ReplyDeleteThank you--and I like the name string bean too...LOL!
Julieann
What a neat antique! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the saddle I also thought it is quite narrow, lol !
ReplyDeleteCool! I've never ridden a horse in my life yet and i wanna try it. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteTotally Worn Out

Now you need to show us some more of your Western Room. I bet you have it all decorated very pretty. Hey, I love Banana's too, but I can't spread my toes like you do. LOL. I have put up a post. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
Hey Anni! Thanks so much for the surprise Valentine. I bought a bunch of them last week, but didn't buy for myself--guess I had some intuition going that I may receive at least one!
ReplyDeleteI'm still thinking about your bucket list and wondering when you plan to go to DC and clean a few people's clocks??!!!

ReplyDeleteThat is great! Happy WW! Thanks for stopping by earlier!
ReplyDeleteAnni,
ReplyDeleteI forgot to tell you I LOVE that saddle. It will certainly add character to your western themed room.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on the fan I made for Mom. I am not a very crafty person, though I don't mean to belittle myself. I try and sometimes I'm successful and sometimes not. I do enjoy trying and I'm glad you liked the fan. I think a Gone with the Wind themed fan would be gorgeous. I'm a great fan of that movie. It is to be on TV sometime this month.
Blessings,
Mary
I was going to ask if it was a child's saddle but it's just a small one. Hmmm. I like how you guys have put it in a corner. My daughter's saddle was on a stand, that could be moved around but took up a LOT of room. I like your way better. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a very minimalist saddle. Thanks for stopping by. Happy WW.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first looked at the picture, I thought that was some sort of torture device. I just had to look a bit closer. lol Beautiful old saddle - probably did inflict a bit of torture from time to time, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to see me.
Hi Anni, I always enjoy visiting your blog and wish things were calm enough that I could come by every day! I love the picture of the saddle, it's gorgeous. Congrats on your awards, you deserve every one of them, happy WW and I love your new blog theme for Valentine's Day.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Anni! Great minds with a single thought, I guess...lol.
ReplyDeleteI probably had an 11.5 inch seat once.....when I was 11 years old, lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW
Thank you so much for my sweet Valentine!! Awww, I feel honored!
ReplyDeleteThat is my goal, to bring some sunshine, without shoving it. Know what I mean?!! ;)
Congrats to you for the awards you received, they are well deserved!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier (I think it was yesterday, or the day before :p Please forgive my frazzled brain :D)...
Thank you so much for my award...it just warms my heart. I'm sorry I'm a little slow coming around to see what you had for me...we've all been under the weather a bit and not doing my blogging.
ReplyDeleteThanks again (can you see the big huge grin on my face?)
