Sandy, at Myanderings sent along this cute, adorable award for me!! I love this. As I told her, I am definitely related to the monkey --I LOVE bananas and I can spread my toes to grab things. This is a precious award. I thank you very much ---and the ironic part of the whole thing is that I was just about ready to go to HER blog and tell her she had something from me today!!! Gotta love it!!

If I may, I'd like to pass this "Royal Banana" on to: Vic, Mary, Carolyn, Karen, Kelli, & Jen

  1. This is our antique officer's cavalry saddle that we just finished making the saddle holder for so it'd would fit in the corner of our "Old West" room. The enlargement says 11 1/2 inch seat. Boy howdy, do I wish I HAD an eleven and a half inch seat!!! [just call me Twiggy!]

  8. Well hello there Twiggy!! hehe I'd love to see the cavalry officer that was able to fit his tush in such a small saddle! lol Congratulations on the latest awards you received, dear Anni, you deserve every one of them out there. Your blog is truly a delight to visit and although I sometimes don't have time to visit every day, I'm always anxious to see what you've posted:-) xoxo

  9. Congratulations on your Blogger of the Year Award 2007. You certainly are one of the most creative bloggers that I visit with your seasonal and festive decorations and added touches like the quill writing your signature.

Thank you for the valentine. February 14th is a very special day for me as that is the birthday of our youngest son.

  10. Anni,

You are certainly deserving of all the awards. Your blog is so creative and always makes me smile. If you knew me better, you'd know I'm not the sort of person who smiles often. Not because I'm sad, just because I'm not a smiler. You are turning me into one, dear friend.

Thanks for the cute banana award. I absolutely LOVE it!!!

Have a great evening. Talk to you tomorrow.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  12. Thank you for the Valentine - my first this year! Which reminds me, I have to get going on my son's stuff for school. Hard to believe that it can slip on you like that, but almost every holiday sneaks up on me.

And, uh, ladies? I don't think you're supposed to fit your WHOLE rear end into the saddle. Just the part where your legs meet because mostly a saddle is so you have somewhere to put your legs to control the horse...

  13. 11 1/2 inch!! LOL~
Congrats on ur newly achieved awards from such great friends of urs :)

  36. Anni,

I forgot to tell you I LOVE that saddle. It will certainly add character to your western themed room.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on the fan I made for Mom. I am not a very crafty person, though I don't mean to belittle myself. I try and sometimes I'm successful and sometimes not. I do enjoy trying and I'm glad you liked the fan. I think a Gone with the Wind themed fan would be gorgeous. I'm a great fan of that movie. It is to be on TV sometime this month.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  37. I was going to ask if it was a child's saddle but it's just a small one. Hmmm. I like how you guys have put it in a corner. My daughter's saddle was on a stand, that could be moved around but took up a LOT of room. I like your way better. :)

  38. That is a very minimalist saddle. Thanks for stopping by. Happy WW.

  39. When I first looked at the picture, I thought that was some sort of torture device. I just had to look a bit closer. lol Beautiful old saddle - probably did inflict a bit of torture from time to time, too.

Thanks for stopping by to see me.
