Weekend Funnies...

With all the tragedies that have happened with Turkey/Syria this past week [I cried for joy when I saw the newborn infant being rescued even tho her mother perished in the rubble]. I thought a little humor could be in store...At least for a moment or two, these can bring a smile to those in need, and we can pause for a bit of laughter:

...and my favorite---

  1. Heartbreaking photos. I saw the little baby, and watched a lady being rescued yesterday. Thank you for the humor today Anni. In the darkest times there has been something to smile about. It is good medicine as my mother used to say when she sat in the air raid shelters during WWII. There was always someone who could tell a joke and bring a smile.

  4. Good ones, Anni! Loved them all, but as I sit here this morning sipping a cup of coffee, the third one down hit home. LOL!

  5. the tv says as i type, 28,000 and climbing dead, it is a true horror! I am thinking the owner of the car did that to make a statement, the plate is made incorrectly. if it was turned the other way to read the number the expiration date would be upside down. I just found out the reason FL doesn't have front and rear plates, is Florida doesn't want to make more plates. cheaper to make one, not two. makes no sense because we pay for the plates.

    1. Sad, you don't find humor healing in stressful times! If just for a fleeting moment.

  7. Thank you for the smile despite so much sadness. I can't even begin to imagine the grief.
    Love the bottle cap one.

  8. It's tragic how the numbers climb by the thousands every day. The blonde plate is definitely a "hoot"! Thanks for this chuckles. I can tell you why they really want to ban the gas stoves, but I wouldn't want to get in trouble.

  9. Love the memes. Needed the laugh. Coffee one is great. I have trouble threading the needle when it's not running. Trying not to think about the tragedy... imagining it is so horrific.
