This is the morning I sat on the shore of the Gulf watching the surfing activities and watching the sea crash into the jetty's boulders. After fighting for my balance and trying to hold my camera steady in the wind, I gave up and walked along the shoreline a while, finding a whole sand dollar partially buried...

DeleteYes, that's got to be even better. When we lived in New Orleans we'd always go down to the lake and watch the storms roll in. Once I got to stand on a pier on the Gulf in Biloxi and watch as it closed in on us. Powerful stuff!

Raleigh's elevation is 315'. This house must have an elevation of 345' LOL
There is another section of stairs to the front door. The driveway is just to the left of the photo. It is curvy and hilly. It would be no fun to navigate in ice or snow.

ReplyDeleteTo answer your question on my blog..yes, we will attend church in the morning and then go over to our friends home for a BBQ. We have known their parents for over 40 years and attended our former church together. We moved here to Rocklin and a whole lot of our friends and their "kids" did too. So now we oldies and all the kids and their grandkids are getting together. There will be over 20 of us together. I just finished making potato salad for 20. Lots of potatoes and eggs. Can't wait for tomorrow. Hopefully the rain will hold off but the home is big enough for all of us to eat inside so its all good. Thanks for asking. I will try to take a few photos...but you know how that is when the eating and chatting get in the way..HaHa..
