Day Trippin'...Part III

I walked to a field to inspect the flowering bluebonnets! And as a reminder from one year to the next, I always try to get a photo from a "Top" view since the blossoms from that angle always [to me] resembles a kaleidoscope! And just like a kaleidoscope, each blossom is different. This is only part of what I saw of bluebonnets and Texas Indian Paintbrush [orange blooms]...

  5. Beautiful blossoms you've captured here! I can definitely see the resemblance to a kaleidoscope in that close-up shot. Excellent series of photos! Flowers are starting to emerge here, but a few more weeks before any blossoms.

    1. I would too, but if everyone picks them...no seeds would probably ruin the "Crop".

  9. Texas can be proud of its native flowers. Knew about and appreciated the bluebonnets but the Indian Paintbrush is new to me. Both stunning.

  15. Ummmm...delicious flowers.
Apparently the wildflowers in California are a bust this year. So little rain and crazy weather...I do miss the fields of golden poppies.

  17. There’s nothing quite like the vivid blue of those bluebonnets. It makes them unmistakable.

RE your comment about Cassie and glasses - only Bob and I wear glasses so you may be on to something.
