It's been a while since I've shared nature's hearts. Here are some from my archives where I save for future postings like today. Three leaves and one broken nest from a Kiskadee bird...

This will be my last update on the birthday's Table Top Garden. I think most of the bulbs shipped in the planter have either bloomed or is now in full bloom, as you can see in the first of the series of 6 photos, before they all too soon fade away. I'm thinking of experimenting with them over the non-growing season for this temperate zone and its high water ground table and see if I can't encourage them to bloom next year. Wish me luck.

Lastly, I realized this morning I never did a critique on the last book that I was reading when I posted on my blog. All I can say is, don't bother even opening the cover. It made no sense throughout. Well, it did somewhat, but all I can say after finishing it, what was the purpose of writing this in the first place. I am now reading "The Queen's Fortune". A historical novel of Napoleon's first love. By Allison Pataki. It was recommended to me from my sister. It's a hit and miss reading since I've been helping with the English grammar and punctuation of my son's PhD dissertation on Churchill. That is taking up a lot of my time which I don't mind helping...but, he'd better dedicate his work to "For My Mother" lololol.
These are perfectly ahaped hearts. This little garden has done so wonderfully!!

It's amazing how many hearts can be found in nature. Your table top garden sure is pretty. It will be interesting to see if you can get it to come back next year.

That is a lovely collection of hearts. Loved the bird nest--an unexpected one. You have got me looking these days. Hope I don't run into something with my eyes peeled for hearts:)

the nest is extraordinary and this table top is impressive. i want one, the table top garden i mean. I have not been in the garden shop at WM in a year, it is closed when I shop on Senior Tuesday.. now i want some yellow jonquils

The title A Wild Winter Swan sure draws you in...I hate that it was a waste of time. I cannot think of the book I got...it was one I had seen the title so many times and every time it appealed to me so much. I thought what the heck and paid I forget how much for it. And it was TERRIBLE...I read about a hundred pages and then just considered it a lost cause. I think it was probably the first book I ever started ad did not finish. Since then, I have given myself permission to not waste my time on books that I start and don't like.

Such pretty hearts, straight from Mother Nature! As to that dedication you're hoping for...some universities have the tradition that the dissertation be dedicated to the "major professor" of the grad student...very arrogant of them, don't you think!!!
