Portfolio Sketches

Four more sketches from my stash:
I'm enjoying the comments on your "favorites". Yesterday the fox seemed to be the majority favorite. Today? -- --

This first one, is one of the very first I sketched, Mark Twain [circa 1970] - it is one of just a few that there was no photo, it's from memory... President Lincoln, a Troll Doll [circa 1975-], and the silent clown of yesteryear, Emmett Kelly as his creation "Weary  Willie".

  1. That troll is cute. I remember having them when I was a kid. I think the clown might be my favorite here.

  4. I like the Lincoln sketch the best. Seems like more like the troll, though. :-)

  5. the first wins but only by a slim margin over the clown face. in fact is may be a tie for 1st place.

  6. You know I always love your sketches. I went back and looked at yesterday's, too. The wolf for sure. I don't know how you can capture a person's face so well! I always know right away who they are. Emmett Kelly is my favorite today.

  7. I did get to meet Emmett Kelly years ago and he was very nice. That was before clowns became scary.

  8. I will take Mark Twain...I have no idea why.
