Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

Mishmash...

Old wooden window panes on a house built in the late 1800s early 1900s and a rusted, twisted windchime that has seen better days...

When I have camera in hand and it's on and the battery is primed and readied...it's not always birds I focus on. Especially when it's a quiet day for bird sightings---

These two collages are of wildflowers, roses, holly, water lily, ships, alligators, farley boats that are found all over the village, Port Aransas, Texas, wasps' nests, holly growing wild, fungus and dragonflies on the radio antenna [and below, a couple of good fences]....

Of course most times, it's all about birding, and birds!! And sometimes spotting a feather floating on the water's surface now and then. While other times the word 'birdwatching' is a completely different concept. A bird watching me...

Finding an old weathered fence is always good, it's good luck at times to find some wildlife and bright red flora adding a bit of charm to an otherwise plain barbed wire fence giving the barbs  a dash of color...

  1. I LOVE your pretty collages. I think I'll do the same, since it's a great way to show off related images and make the whole even better than they are alone! And what a beautiful flycatcher! :-)

  26. Fantastic photos! I loved them all. Oh, how I love scissortails! I remember the first time I ever saw one...we were driving and suddenly a bird flew in front of my car, did a loop, and then flew on. We were astounded. A LOOP! Later I had them in my yard in the right season and loved watching them. The scissortails and the painted buntings were new to me, and I wish I'd had a decent camera when we lived there then. There would have been some great photos. But, I loved yours today. Photography can be very rewarding and here on the blogs we get to see so many things we've never seen before.

  36. I do like the flycatcher! It makes me think of some of our parrots with its pose - although its not colourful enough!

If the truth be told, a rich dude did buy the building and try to make a hotel, but when he found out he would have to keep the facade he just pulled the pin on the project and left the block idle - some people have more money than sense!
