Top 'o the Mornin' to 'ya!!!

Happy Wearin' o' the Green Day!!!

Want you to meet, Paddy...the long lost leprechaun of the Texas Coast, he's creating very soft shadows today...

Of course, he's just one of those wooden ball creations of mine. I had a set of them left after I made the bunny rabbit a couple weeks ago, and instead of having them sit around collecting dust and cluttering my craft box where I have it stored in the garage, I thought I'd just glue 'em together and paint 'em up. The hat is green felt, the tip of the hat is a small glass shamrock, the beard was dyed with a mixture of food coloring [red and yellow] to make it an Irish red-head. I also took a small piece of grapevine and chopped it down to make a small shillelagh to assist him in walking 'round the house. After I trimmed the beard some, I twisted a few strands of the dyed beard [fur] to make him mustachioed.

a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire,

and all your heart might desire.
