SUNDAY'S SUMMARY

This week has been a mixture of happy times, and really low times with the death of our ex son-in-law. I must say I can remember one thing that would thrill me to pieces about him...tho he became a monster over the years...when he was just a young lad, growing up with Irene and our family were friends with Dan's family; even after the two kids were first together and Clint, our first grandson was given to us all by the grace of God...the fondness I can recall today is Dan's smile!!! When he smiled, the whole room lighted up!! Oh yes, good times and some good memories. The best thing out of the union was our two grandsons!! Really tho, Bud and I didn't get very much done for the week, so there isn't anything much to sum up. And that includes a good night's sleep. After all happened, the only thing I really accomplished was to catch up on laundry from the past week and prior. Soon, I hope, things will get re-established with our routine and we carry on.

And I want to add my thanks for all those who have comforted us in the past days since my return in blogging!!

    SHADOW DANCE

    Shadows here and shadows there,
    Shadows, shadows everywhere!
    Shadows left and shadows right;
    Shadows dancing through the night!
    Shadows crouching on the wall;
    Shadows spring and shadows fall
    On the unsuspecting guest,
    Who thought shadows offered rest!

  6. Hi Anni,
    sorry to learn of the loss of your SIL. and you're so right when you say he's free of his turmoil. it's tragic when people choose to crawl inside a bottle instead of facing their fears and demons. it happens all too often I'm afraid, and life presents many challenges for us all. I hope everyone finds peace and healing love in this time. take good care Anni. peace be with you.

  9. Anni, I am sad for the loss of such a young and vital life. It must be very difficult for your grandsons and your support means the world to them. When you help them remember the good times, the special moments and things like a smile that light up a room; it helps bring the boys comfort. God bless you all.

  15. So sorry to hear of your loss. Hold on to the good memories.
    As for your flag picture, I love it. The flag's shadow on the building is Great. Along with the trees. Lovely picture. I would have never guessed it was a Bank's entrance.
    Hope the coming week is much better for you!

  24. So sorry. Poor, troubled young man, and poor you and your family.

    I just went back and found the relevant post, and I can say I understand at least just a little bit. My BIL was someone I could not like for many reasons, but his death from cancer (though we too knew it was coming) was still hard on us all. And it left us with a horrible, and unexpected, family situation which led to his son (our nephew) evicting his own grandmother ... *Sigh*

    All I can say is that I hope things are resolved quickly and to everyone's satisfaction, and that the children are safe and happy. Also your daughter Irene, of course.

  25. Hi, Anni,
    I know how you must feel. My daughter and her ex had been married 16 years and I have been very close to him. We've spent a lot of time together. He is like a son to me. I am going to feel the loss. Hopefully we can still have a relationship because of the children and the bond we have even if he doesn't want to be married to my daughter.
    I like the photo.
