"Winnie"...aka, "Squeak" and registered as Winston!
sitting on the bed...just above a ruby red flower print...
...not to overlook his pink button nose. LOL

Even tho we here in Coastal Texas have had triple digit temps and heat indices beyond the 110 degree mark, today is officially the first day of Summer. Ack. What'll the next three months bring? Actually, here, they are promising a bit o' moisture coming in from the Gulf. Finally the huge, massive High pressure area that has been dominating our weather pattern for months is breaking up and a Low pressure area is zooming in on us, drawing the moisture in from the sea. Perhaps the predictions'll give us some much needed rain. I'm tired of the dry, cracked soil! I know the heat won't leave very soon...but, bring on those raindrops. I'll gladly sing Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head for a day or two. Then, with much needed relief for a while, bring back the HIGH pressure area over Texas when a tropical storm develops out in the Atlantic...keeping the hurricanes at bay so to speak. Shooing 'em off our town. In fact, better thought here...just don't develop at all. Or stay out t'sea!!!
Hi, feels good to be here after a long time. The nose is just adorable and don't miss the detached expression. I simply love cats for this regal air they have about them.
ReplyDeleteWinston looks so regal ♥
ReplyDeleteWe have had plenty of rain here, and it's raining again as I speak. Hope some finds you soon!
ReplyDeleteAnnie, Winnie is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeletehe's a handsome cat. love his expression.:p
ReplyDeletesuch a cute cat...I wish I have one but our dog buddy hates cats...:(
ReplyDeleteI think it supposed to rain today...I hope!
this is such a gorgeous cat... just lovely.. thanks Anni for the drop ;)
ReplyDeleteWinston seems to be a much more regal name for Winnie - fits the "ratha" better-than-the-average-cat look on the lovely face! ;0)
ReplyDeleteI really hope you all get some rain down there. We had a bit yesterday - everything is amazingly green here in Colorado this year. I'm enjoying the lovely air while it lasts. I think I would be a noodle or a puddle in that kind of heat and humidity. Too bad we all can't have the perfect winters AND perfect summers!
Aaaw, how adorable, Anni!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful, proud, even a little arrogant cat posing of the best sofa the house can offer.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that great? I think so, but I am a cat admirer by nature.
I don't think you would have changed your Texan heat with our polar could. We have had an average of 50 Fahrenheit degrees in June. I laughed when I read two days of rain. We dance from joy when we have two days of sun in our coastal area.
Maybe it is so that everybody long for what they haven't got.
Lots of Norwegians travel to Southern Europe just to lay in the sun at summertime.
Americans and Germans are the most frequent tourists in Norway.
Winston...do you believe in love at first sight?...oh my but you are a handsome mancat....

Amen to the need for rain. If it would bring on the rain, I'd happily do a rain dance to you singing Raindrops keep falling on my head.

ReplyDeleteOh, it's a flower PRINT! For a moment, I thought he was sitting on a bed of flowers! :-)
ReplyDeleteWOMAN IN THE SCARLET COAT
Woman in the scarlet coat,
Are you heading for a boat?
Or perhaps you need a bus
To get far away from us.
Whether wheels or sails you take
Don’t forget the chocolate cake
To sustain you on your way;
Red-clad damsel, now we say,
“Go with grace, enjoy the ride,
See you on the other side!”

Wish I could send you some of our rain. It's rained some the last three of four days. We can't even walk in our garden without sinking in!
simply gorgeous!!
ReplyDeletehe's such a cute cat!
i looove it!
betty
...and looks like a painting as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous kitty and I know she must be sweltering in those summer temperatures. Let's hope the Gulf doesn't suffer any hurricanes this year. I was in New Orleans in October for my 45 year nursing school reunion and it was deplorable to see how little, really, had been done to clear up the chaos left from Katrina.
ReplyDeleteWinston is GORGEOUS... It's hot here also. I am tired of it already ☺

ReplyDeleteFor your sake, I do hope you get some much needed rain soon and a break from those high temps! It's cloudy here today and 72, supposed to have rain by this evening. We haven't had any rain in 2 weeks so it will feel lovely...I'll try to send some your way:-) xoxo
Hope you get your rain. We're not nearly so hot, of course, 30 C. in the sun, we expect rain on the w/e, just to piss off the tourists!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers from S.E. Ontario Cottage Country!
Happy Ruby Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet photo for Ruby Tuesday; Winston seems to own the bed :-D
