Tho the song I choose this week, has to deal with marriage of two.... I always associate the opening lyrics with my own children...
Is this the little girl I carried?

Is this the little boy at play?

I don't remember growing older
When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty?

When did he grow to be so tall?

Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small?
Sunrise,

sunset

Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

Great post and loved the way you interspersed the lyrics with fitting photos! I don't remember this growing older stuff either! All of a sudden it was here, LOL! Need to haul out Fiddler on the Roof and watch it again - just love the way Tevye talks with the Lord!!
ReplyDeleteDearest Anni- What a lovely song for today, and how beautiful children you have. They dont have it from "strangers" thats clear to see!
ReplyDeleteOh, for the good old days when we could hold their tiny hands for just a little while, but we do hold their hearts forever.!´

I have the same question ! Time flies by !
ReplyDeletePerfect photos to go with the lines from that song! The years go by much too fast, don't they, I still look at my sons and wonder where my little boys went!! I can never get over how much Irene looks like you:-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteSuch a stunning photo! Did you write these words as well? Perfect, perfect, perfect!!! You always find the right words to go with your pictures:-)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week, dear Anni. xoxo
My second comment belongs to your previous post...sigh! So many blonde moments today!! lol
ReplyDeleteAw Anni, this is the sweetest post ever. Lovely photos of your son and daughter, time does indeed fly. I love this song, great choice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, both the words and the photo. The combination is very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteAnni, you asked one day where the squirrel was in my header. I have two blogs and only one always has a squirrel in the header. On the other one he shows up sometimes when everyone least expects him, LOL!
Thanks for your visit. Thought I'd popover and say "Hi" and whoa you had one of my favourite songs on your post. This movie is so great - I love musicals.
ReplyDeleteI thought about this song when my daughter married.
Annie, they grow up so fast!! Thank you for cheering me up and visiting my blog!!
ReplyDeleteThe sunset and sunrise photos are just beautiful as the other photos are too.
ReplyDeleteI never heard the song, unfortunately.... :-)

ReplyDeleteThey grow up way too fast. Hi Anni. I was just reviewing some of the comments made on my blog and saw that you made a comment after I visited your blog and made a comment. And guess when it was? January 2010. A whole year has gone by. Time just keeps flying. I hope all is well with you and that you will have a wonderful New Year.
