BOB HALL FISHING PIER
- - -
On the beach...while walking the shore on a windy, windy day. I personally favor watching the rough current washing up along the concrete pilings, crashing against the barrier in its way... making the huge water spray. And, hearing the rumble of the water echoing through the stanchions from underneath. Tho....I DO cotton to the sea, be it calm OR violent.

ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful photo of the pier.
Wind here has been horrible also.
Have a great day.
We loved those big old Texas fishing piers too!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was visiting my brothers in British Columbia back in the late 80's, I remember them bringing me for a walk on a pier and I couldn't get over how loud it was to hear the waves crashing against the pilings. You really got a good shot and it makes you wonder how fish can get to those fishing lines without being bashed against the pilings! lol xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe have red winged blackbirds here as well but they haven't arrived yet. They have such a distinctive sound, don't they. I love watching them in flight with that splash of red colour on their wings:-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteLovely shot! When we lived in Corpus, we fished from there a few times. Hope all is well with you :)
ReplyDeleteWe have wonderful video from both Maine coast and from Hawaii of crashing waves - I love the sound and sight!
