“A wise old owl lived in an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard...
Why can't we all be like that bird?”

Below the JFK Causeway there is a Intercoastal Turnaround...to make a "U" turn to go BACK to the island. If you don't do the turn...this is what you'll come up on!!! Just to the right of this barricade is a Boat Ramp for Public Use...and a Bait and Fish Tackle Shop [Master Bait Shop...oh I couldn't resist] Good thing the closure is so well seen, huh? The water is deep, deep, deep....an abyss the farther out!! It wouldn't be ME who'd defy the law. No siree! Above the barricade is the four lane paved bridge [causeway] from Padre Island to Corpus or visa versa....

And these two lovelies, I received from Shakira! They're just the sweetest ever. I always appreciate the fact that my blogging peers and friends I've made over the years, blogging, think of me when they pass on accolades and the acts of kindness. It fills my heart with joy!! Thank you so much.

  12. Good Morning Sweet Annie...
    I love this picture of the end of the road. Wouldn't want to go through that barricade. Hey where are the pics of the Bait and Tackle shop? I scrolled excitedly to look, and alas no Bait shop. I would love to see it through your eyes. Such a beautiful post sweetie.

    Congratulations on your wonderful awards. You are so deserving of them. I love to come and see what beauties you have to share each and every day. Really beautiful rose pin award and beautiful Spring award. Now Mischief Maker? No, who would have thought? I love it.

  31. Looks somehow alluring to pass...pulling one inside, into a great wide...thoughts, that might be due to living in such a big city with way too many walls...sigh...a wonderful, freedom filled Thursday for you all.

  32. Can't help thinking there should be at least one more slat on there - a wide one!
