A blue cut -lead crystal vase.
Imported from Austria

A blue, hand blown glass
decanter with stopper.

Hand blown blue glass vase.
From Old Mexico

............And I just purchased this new blue and purple blown glass witch's ball. The card photo at the 'top left', if you embiggen it, it will tell you their use. Altho, the witches I have in my collection are GOOD witches - they just look evil I swear....I bought it for the color and for the unusual blown glass design that is INSIDE the ball! It's very unique. This will be hanging in the same window as the other blue glass real soon!<><><>
FLASH 55--
The mysterious man in black comes to my door. I am heavily quizzed by him regarding neighbors. He states that they've been under surveillance all this time....When he's finished with me, he pulls out his instrument
and flashes a red beam into my tired eyes...I forgot all he asked. Memory is wiped clear.

The blue glass is beautiful! I love how you put it in front of a window to catch the sunlight!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog :)
I love blue glass - I love blue anything, it seems. Judging by the blue carpet in my house, etc. Solid light blue carpet in a house is not a smart thing when you're taking care of babies and other messy children!
ReplyDeleteYour blue glass is so pretty! I'll bet it's amazing when the sun shines through it, too. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDelete~Kelli

Being from up around Salem, Mass I am soooo familiar with witch balls... I love them and the beautiful colors you can get them in... Very nice blue glass collection... And that flash was so funny... I love MIB.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
(((HUGS)))
Donna
If MIB can justify my memory lapses, they must have had me under surveillance all my life.
ReplyDeleteAll of the blue glass is so pretty. The colors are so deep and vibrant. The light looks so pretty behind them. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLoved this 55.
ReplyDeleteI loved the movie, "Men in Black".
Many, many years ago I got a "TOP SECRET" Government security clearance when working for The Rand Corporation (during the Vietnam era) and I know the "Men in Black" were in my neighborhood asking neighbors about me.
Good Morning Annie! You little hoot you. That blue witches ball is bewitching, you be careful of that now. It might turn you into a beautiful mermaid like the one you have. I hope you are near water for a quick dip. Now what have I told you about answering the door to strangers? Remember Danger, Stranger. God only knows what he took from you? Keep that door shut. This was such a fun post. I so love it when you get wild. Have a wonderful day my friend. Stop by and say hi today. In the pics you will see I have cut my hair, very, very short. I love it. See ya soon. Love and Hugs, Sherry
ReplyDeleteIsn't blue glass the best! My grandmother and aunt collected cobalt blue glass - simply beautiful. A Witch Ball now that's good stuff.

Now that is how coloured glass is supposed to be displayed...in front of a window so that the light can shine through it! Absolutely beautiful blue glass pieces, Anni. I'd never heard of a witch's ball so I read the little card that explains it and oh my, it's so fascinating!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteGorgeous witches ball. I love hand blown glass. We have an amazing glass museum in Tacoma with a huge hot shop where they blow glass. I can sit in there for hours watching. Tacoma is the home of Dale Chihuly, famous glass artist, if you are familiar with him. http://www.chihuly.com/
ReplyDeleteYour blue glass is really lovely! Jean
ReplyDeleteNice collection. It was interesting to read about the witches ball. I had never heard of them before.
ReplyDeleteLove all the blue

ReplyDeleteYour blue glass is beautiful and I enjoyed the history of the witches ball. It is very pretty.
Over the years, I've purchased a lot of cobalt blue Depression glass for Michelle at yard sales and auctions. She has quite a collection.
Hope you and Bud have a great weekend. I'm going to upload photos of what we did today IF I'm able to post them.
