Next week "wild"

- - -
Nothing really special this week. These photos are of my guitar [with strings!] that I've had for many years now. It's been ages since I've even played it. I don't know where my pick is, and I just lost interest in it, but never gave it away....

PS....I just found through blogspot/blogger -a new photo meme for Sunday's only...
It begins tomorrow...

Anni,
ReplyDeleteWell, I learned something new about you today. I didn't know you could play the guitar. I'm glad you kept it. It is lovely.
Drop over to my place and pick up a special something I have for you.
Blessings,
Mary
Guitar player too?? You are beyond awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt's just like the keyboard I have, I haven't played it in years and yet I haven't had the heart to give it away! My mom use to play the guitar quite fluently when she was young but after she got married and had babies she didn't have time to spend with her guitar and had given it to one of her brothers. About 4 years ago, I bought her one for Christmas and she just sat there hugging it and crying:-) She said she doubted she would remember how to play but she keeps playing it and is starting to remember how to play quite a few songs...45 years later:-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteWE collect instruments like some women collect shoes! We have tons of basses, guitars, pianos, keyboard, flutes and recorders and now my harp! LOL
ReplyDeleteNever give your guitar away - you never know when inspiration hits you! Love the way you cut the photo up! Good shot!
(BTW - you're early today!!)
Hugs

I know how you feel I have a violin and I love to play it but don't have the time anymore!! have thought about selling it!!

ReplyDeleteOh most of the entries are the same and its pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh, you played guitare in the past ? I always wanted to play guitare but I never learned to read notes ! lol !
ReplyDeleteI like how you *strung* the pictures together. Very clever! :) You always bring a smile.
ReplyDeleteWe must think alike... however, I don't play guitar, my husband does. I like your variety of pictures. Many blessings.
ReplyDeleteHey Anni- I really like the new look! Good take on the theme. I had a tough time with this one as you can see here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit, Anni. We weren't fishing, we were coming home.
ReplyDeleteYour string probably make good c(h)ords.
Nice guitar strings :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I tried learning the guitar but every single lesson I broke a string and had to sit out - too heavy handed :) You should take it up again, it's a great skill to have.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots :)
Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!

Yup...you've "strung and strummed" your string well for this week theme :). But still can't find the "G".
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few guitars today but all the photos are different and simple wonderful shots.

That's a beautiful guitar. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteA string of photos that connect together to show a musical instrument with strings -- very creative! :)

I have my guitar up too!
ReplyDeleteFind your pick and get busy! What a wonderful and satisfying talent.

ReplyDeleteAnnie, that's a lovely string. I can't play guitar.
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of my cousin who's practically a guitar whisperer.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't I think of taking a picture of my piano strings?!
I think there's still time for a second post.
Great take on the theme - don't you love it when the themes fall into place with your life!
ReplyDeleteAnother strings of guitar, I just saw a toy guitar somewhere too. But nice photo! Maybe you could play us some songs too. :D
ReplyDeleteThose are a very cool and unique look at a guitar! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my favorite kind of strings!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots! I've always wished I learnt to play a musical instrument.
ReplyDeleteCool. I'm like many others and don't seem to find the time to play mine often. Thanks for reminding me to get back to it.

ReplyDeleteIt seems we are making music together, Anni! =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the creek - may your weekend be delightful!
I sure wish I could play a guitar! I have been learning to play the toy piano, and it is very hard. I am Not Allowed to get a toy guitar until I am done learning the piano.
ReplyDeleteNice one! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh Anni your choice for the theme is perfect...and well I haven't been around much lately, but I must tell you I love your blog layout....just perfect...simply perfect
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful presentation of showing the full length of the strings. Great idea!
ReplyDeletei used to love playing a guitar but like you i also lost interest (when i discovered boys :D). nice choice!
ReplyDeletePerfect example of strings! Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteA really nice take on this week's theme Anni. Happy weekend
ReplyDeletethat's a nice classic guitar! Mark2 guitars are quite rare now. i'm sure the strings still sound crispy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the new Sunday meme … methinks I might participate on one or the other of my blogs. Like yours, my guitar’s been neglected since I retired from teaching … though I do play occasionally (until my uncalloused fingers start to hurt too much). My ‘strings’ are at Small Reflections today. I'm watching the storm track and am beginning to pray for all the folks on the Gulf Coast. Do take care.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Great idea, Anni!! I never even thought about guitar strings... but then, I am a singer and play a native drum, not a guitar, haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog today.
Guitar strings are good! I still have the guitar my Dad bought me back in 1960, though it's a bit the worse for wear now.
ReplyDeletei can only wish i can strum a guitar and you haven't played in years?! oh my... get back to it! LOL
ReplyDeletei love how you have the photos spliced up in 3! very nice one! :-)
I never even thought of an instrument. Maybe someday you will get the urge to pick it up again...then you'll be happy you still have this beauty.
ReplyDeleteNice strings - come check out mine - this is my first time participating in the Photo Hunt meme.
ReplyDeletecan I cheat and show my hammered dulicmer picturs for strings??
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Your's a treasure that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteHoping your weekend is going well. Am following your political process and still find it confusing as heck.
Think it's time to pick the guitar back up and start playing again HA.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures for The Hunt. I thought the theme was a tough one. Like your choice.
Great choice for this week's PhotoHunt. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Anni,
ReplyDeleteI knew I could count on you to come up with something original for Saturday's Photo Hunt. I couldn't so decided not to play this week. I hope your weekend is going well and that you will have a wonderful upcoming week.
My guitar sat around unused for ages too but finally I gave to someone who would use it and appreciate. Have a good weekend Anni.
ReplyDeleteyour photos made me miss my guitar that i left at home... good shots. thanks for sharing =)
ReplyDeleteStrings of music!....:)
ReplyDeleteThat must be a special guitar. I'm sure it's very meaningful to you.
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect for this week's theme. BTW, learning to play the guitar is one of my frustrations. :-)
