Next week "YOU --any part of you [myself]"
Dang....I love shoes! I collect shoes!! But, funny thing is: I'd much rather go barefoot! Go figure.
Anyway, I thought I'd take you on a 'walk about' through parts of our home to show you a few 'shoes' hanging around, just sitting idly, waiting for their time in the spotlight! [all images can be enlarged]

These are my 'clod hoppers' is what I call them...they're soft Italian leather and so so comfortable. My pair of choice!! I wear them VERY often, as you can tell.

These are my stone studded 'dress shoes'...I just wore them a few weeks ago when I had to 'dress up' for the Broadway Show "Chicago". [I really don't like to dress up...if it were up to me, I'dda worn jeans and a t-shirt!!]

These are Native American shoes! [actually pink leather with turquoise conchos ---on one of our Kachina Dolls]

Bear fur trimmed moccasins on another Kachina Doll

Now some kids grow up with the knowledge of a perfectly bronze-coated BABY shoe. Living in the foothills of Colorado where we raised our kids, they both had BABY moccasins!! The light deer hide moccasin is Irene's [also the silver sticking out from behind is her silver baby spoon. ] And.....

This darker version of leather baby moccasin is Erik's --also with his baby spoon! THEY BOTH HAVE THE MATCHING moccasin in their homes!

And last but not least...what else but BOOTS? Puss n Boots to be more specific. From Shrek II
Lots of great choices, but I agree those clod hoppers look super comfy :)
ReplyDeleteHappy photo hunting!
My moccasins are the most comfortable shoes I own, but since they don't have a real sole I can't get much use out of them.
ReplyDeleteI love the pink colored ones.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
I had a pair of mocassins when I was young, and they were the most comfortable shoe ever. I'm not much of a shoe girl- more into flip flops. But now purses, well we won't even go there! lol Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNice shots of different shoes, I wasn't expecting to find Puss n Boots doing the hunting, lol! Great choices!
ReplyDeleteThe boots of Puss looks so fantastic, wild wild west....
ReplyDeleteCute doll shoes, I've got them today as well! I love your clod hoppers too.
ReplyDeleteI relate to your comment about loving shoes but preferring to be barefoot. It sounds like me! You can take a girl out of the hills, but you can't take the hills out of a girl! Love your moccasins. My kids had them too. Fun post, Anni!
ReplyDeleteThose clodhoppers are really cute! Iused to be a moccasin girl....they had real soles, now I love sandals.
ReplyDeleteI love Rieker shoes1 The leather is so soft. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my *holy* choice of shoes.
ReplyDeleteI love the little mocassins of your children, they are so cute ! I remember I bought a pair when I was in the States in 1971. I have my son's baby shoe in bronze.
ReplyDeleteWow, great shoes
ReplyDeletehaha love the puss in boots and the pink leather one!
ReplyDeleteGive me my Minnetonka Moccasins any day and everyday if I must wear shoes!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shoe post and you have some nice ones. I love how you ended with puss and boots.
ReplyDeleteThose are an awesome lot of shoes with cool designs :) They look warm as well!
ReplyDeleteGood selection of shoes miss hoot, I just noticed your occupation, that is a hoot.....
ReplyDeleteRemember those who died for your freedom.
Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer “am I worth dying for?”~

You have really cute shoe photo collections! :D Love it.
ReplyDeleteThe first pair look very comfortable. Like you I don't like dressing up and I don't even have 'dress shoes'.
ReplyDeleteThose baby moccasins are sweet.
The baby moccasins are darling!
ReplyDeleteAnd your leather "clodhoppers" look very comfy :)

I love the idea of 'bronzing' the baby shoes. That's neat.
ReplyDeleteTerrific selections, Anni... and congrats to your daughter... power to her, and much success in all her future endeavers.
ReplyDeleteOh I think you're being very unfair calling those clod-hoppers. I think they look lovely, especially compared to what I normally wear :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, after lookng at all those shoes.. I am convinced females have more shoes ><
ReplyDeleteNice tour of shoes!! I've never had a pair of mocassins, they do look comfy!

ReplyDeleteVery interesting assortment of shoes, Anni. I love those baby moccasins. Have a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteSigh, there's another one of those things I never did. I don't have any of my babies' "first pair of shoes" -- except Aisling, because she's still wearing them!
ReplyDeleteLots of great shoes in your house Anni. I like your clod-hoppers!
ReplyDeleteGreat shoes, love them sweetie.
ReplyDeleteMe too - me too - I love shoes but run around in sock in the Winter and bare footed in the summer - strange huh? Love those photos and just can't enough shoes! I never throw away a pair, if I can help it!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend sweetie!

ReplyDeleteYour shoes look so comfortable! Except your dress shoes, but they are very pretty so they don't need to be comfortable..
ReplyDeletewow lots of shoes! great pics
ReplyDeletethanks for visiting mine :-)
Your opening line could be my own! It’s raining here in So Cal and I’m still barefooted … but I own more shoes than I can count. They’re all of a comfortable variety however … no ‘stone studded dress shoes’ for me any more. Love the ‘Pusss ‘n Boots’ at the end ;--)
ReplyDeleteMine are at Small Reflections with a bunch of Saturday memes.
Hugs and blessings,
