Me? Incredibly fast and agile in water?!! Right...ummm, I think not! When water gets above my neck, I am NOT agile....unless you see me getting OUT of the water as quick as I can; running the other way---towards shore. But the first question in the quiz was what is your favorite element? I was honest...I do love the water above all! It's [I should say it CAN BE] pretty, it's clean, it's pure, it's colorful, it's relaxing [both watching its movement with ocean currents and waves or just trickling over a brook or river... and bathing ...even drinking a glass full of it] it's also dangerous as all the other elements can be, it's so many things rolled into one. Besides what other element would I choose for the fact that it was the top reason we moved to the coast....water!! I just don't like to be IN the ocean/gulf, when I feel no bottom. By the way, an added note: I am an Aquarius...symbol for Aquarians? Yep...water.

Okay, I got my opening remarks done. Now on to some photos. Wednesday morning, I was wondering where I would take my daily walk. With the recent rains in the past couple of weeks, I didn't especially want to go to any park with trees and standing water. I read in my phone's news app that Corpus Christi has been inundated with mosquitoes. I don't need them! I don't like them! The heat was another factor. I decided to drive over the causeway and walk the boat channel...Packery Channel, all the way out to the water's edge and then walk the shoreline for a while and back. It was a perfect idea. A gentle sea breeze kept the body temperature down, the tide was at it's lowest point, it was about 10 degrees cooler than home. And the boat channel, with low tide, the water IN the channel was clear until the center depth. Along the jetty's boulders I could see bottom! And I was astounded by all the turtles! 100s of them!! Yes, my opening was all about turtles. And my photos depict what I saw along the way to the end.

Once I got home, I told Bud that I felt like Lloyd Bridges. It was like I had been on a sea hunt!! Some of my photos actually look like I was doing some scuba diving and underwater photography. But, nope, I was well above the water line.  So, I devote this post to turtles; GREEN TURTLES.  How do I know they're green turtles?  Easy...it's the only turtle with two 'scales' between its eyes!!!..

An added note: I do believe those are barnacles attached to some of the shells!
