Doing my morning routine, I realized I forgot to buy toothpaste at the grocery store the last time I went. It seems lately, I am always forgetting one item or another. I emptied the tube, and afterward decided to go get some via a stop-over at a small Lakeview park for a short walk in the fresh air. Walking done, I ended up going into the Dollar Store instead of heading for the grocery store, to also get a Valentine scarf for the dining room table to decorate for Valentine's Day in a week or two. And since it was a federal holiday, the newly constructed bank on the corner of the park grounds is being landscaped, and no workers, so I walked the rest of the block after walking around the lake's perimeter, and checked it out. Texans are very proud of their state, and this building reminded me of historical Texas. The cannons especially. Why the cannons?
