Several months back, I cleaned out the dining room hutch where some holiday treasures are saved. From Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. It was getting cramped with too much stuff, so I decided to declutter a bit and donated many little trinkets; mostly Easter Egg Cups! I went down from 40 to just a dozen. Now I can get the cupboard doors to shut properly! LOL And, not having so many items to unpack, and then repack when the season is over takes less time too. These shown below are what is left over from my gutting the shelves!!...

You still have some really cute things. It is too hard to pick a favorite!

DeleteAww, those are all cute. I can see why they were keepers.
ReplyDeleteIt's better to have just a few. At least for me
DeleteThese are fabulous decorations and toys for Easter!

Deleteif I owned all the treasures you have in your home, I would snap myself silly with my madsnapping.. these remaining are truly treasures.all are gorgeous, the little lamb egg holder is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI like the lamb best, too.
DeleteLove your adorable Easter cups, Anni!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteOh Anni your post gave me the happies today...and GUESS what else I was doing at 7:25 am this morning? A happy dance. I had my very first ruby throated hummingbird sighting for the 2023 season. A male of course

I was just thinking about getting around to cleaning my feeders! Thanks for the reminder.
DeleteAn adorable, colorful collection to showcase during the holiday season! I bet the decluttering actually provided you a feeling of relief and easiness.
ReplyDeleteYes...andI should do MORE decluttering.
DeleteI KNOW I need to clean mine out but I keep procrastinating..!

It felt good to get some done. Lots more I should do.
DeleteThere is a theme here I think - sweet Easter egg holders! Happy Easter vibes.

DeleteAdorable little guys! I love that pretty bunny holding his paw with a big smile on his face!
ReplyDeleteThanks D J
DeleteYou must have saved all the best because they're so cute!! In a decluttering mood last Easter I must have donated my tea pot that played "Put on Your Easter Bonnet...." Remember that little ditty? How could I have done that ??
ReplyDeleteGM
Yes, I do remember the song...you, a lot of times, wish you hadn't donated something special, but the happy part is knowing someone else is enjoying it now.
DeleteIt feels good to unclutter! All the stuff you kept was super cute! I can see why you kept them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun collection those egg cups are. I love all of them.

DeleteI had absolutely no idea there are so many variations on egg cups LOL. Yours are adorable! Funny, but I am most intrigued I think by the clear glass chicken one. When I pulled out what I did of my Easter things, I realized I have a virtual plethora of eggs. Eggs of every type, color, genre, etc. We should have coordinated as I would have had more than enough eggs to fill all your cups LOL. ~Robin~ (TheCrankyCrow)
ReplyDeleteI got rid of all those "cheap" plastic ones and kept the 'whole' eggs.
DeleteHi Anni,
ReplyDeleteI like your Easter decorations. I have been downsizing my decorations this season too.
I wanted to answer your questions about the color of maple syrup. When the season just starts out and the sap starts to flow, it is a light color syrup. It starts to darken as the season continues. The dark sap has the strongest flavor.
Well, I'll be...thanks. I learned something new.
Delete" I went down from 40 to just a dozen."
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Anni! Doesn't it feel great to declutter? I live in a very small studio apartment, so it forces me to minimize. But still, I sometimes acquire things that start to build up and eventually have to give away to free some space.
LOVE the ones you kept; especially the rooster one and that final one. So cute!
Hope you had a super Sunday, my friend!
Thanks Ron
DeleteYour eggs cups are darling.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe.
I love them ALL!!!
ReplyDeleteYou still have quite a collection!
ReplyDeleteCheerful Monk

ReplyDeleteSue
When it comes to too many tho, no longer fun
DeleteWe all have to downsize in some area. . .mine is bells. Happy Easter!! Cathy
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I bet collecting bells is fun!!
DeleteLovely to see, I did enjoy your photographs.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Easter.
All the best Jan
Hi Anni, adorable collectibles! Good for you on downsizing. I am still trying to get started on that!
ReplyDeleteIt's kinda a job that once you start, things move quickly.
DeleteI can honestly say that I have never seen an Easter egg holder, those are adorable!
