The other day when I drove to a favorite park of mine, I spent several minutes on the Hawkwatch Platform, watching birds of all kinds fly in and take advantage of the drip system for drinking water. This dove flew into the tree near the bottom of the 'pond' and I noticed its reflection on the water's surface and snapped a photo...

They are mainly indigenous to the Southwest United States from the southern tip of California, across New Mexico and into Texas. What we see here in Corpus is year 'round, tho they are also known to migrate in the winter, southward into Old Mexico. If interested, click here, to listen to their song.
So after resizing this dove photo off my digital camera to upload it to a blog post, I skimmed through my computer files to see if I had any MORE reflection photos. Here are three others...

Have a terrific weekend, my friend!
Thanks Ron

ReplyDeleteThanks M&M
DeleteLooks like a great adventure out. Love the turtle.
ReplyDelete🙂🐢🙂
DeleteA splendid series of reflections! I love the dove reflection where it reveals what is outside the frame. I am also drawn to backlit/silhouetted reflections like in your third photo. And as you've seen in my neck of the woods, I never tire of sunrises.
ReplyDeleteI never tire of sky photos...I enjoy sunrises a lot!!
Deletethe dove is 1st place in artistic, the turtles are my fav.. the cherry blooms have no scent, the cherries have a scent, but not one you can smell unless you eat it
ReplyDeleteThe tree sure has pretty blossoms!!
DeleteLove your pics as always. Turtle was my fav... and listening to the dove.
ReplyDeleteI think the turtle is a majority favorite. Thanks
DeleteBeautiful pics Anni! I love the turtle picture and also enjoyed hearing the dove.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mari
DeleteGreat reflections. The dove is so "arty"... Wow!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too
DeleteI truly love your reflection photos. We have a roosting dove on top of our ladder that is leaning against the garage wall. The top of the ladder is almost to the top of the roof eves.
ReplyDeleteThis is her 3 time using the ladder for her nest. Can't quite see into the nest..its too high, but I think there are several tails peeking out of the top.
I will try to take a picture but the angle and height for this "vertically challenged" photographer doesn't make for photos that make any sense.
Sue
How odd she keeps choosing the ladder!
DeleteYes it is..it's been raining too much to get another photo. I did add another photo to my blog post. It's a color photograph of 6 year old me in my Jr. Bridesmaid Dress. Color is poor but you'll get the idea. (:0)
DeleteSue
On my way...

ReplyDeleteRemember a few months ago I had a poem about ballerinas? I was looking for a photo of Marlu at age 5 in her mouse costume. I found it.
Hugs Cecilia

DeleteReflections are truly magical. So many times we take pictures and do not even notice them while others we take purposefully. Yours are absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe turtle is my favorite!!!
ReplyDeleteYou got power back! 🐢
DeleteExcellent reflection photos! I think the turtle is my favorite. We have lots of mourning doves here in NJ.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Anni. I love them all, but especially the one of the turtle craning its neck and looking up.
ReplyDeleteP,S. Is that a self portrait of you on your blogger header? It's really nice. Reminds me a little of the Impressionists. You are so talented.
