Just a photo album of my walking the park perimeter in search of birds! It was a delightful morning, a bit sultry with high humidity, but bearable. The wildflowers were the main focus and new Spring leaves of the trees from winter kill. I saw very few birds, to my disappointment, but I got a little outdoor exercise before I had to leave for grocery shopping which has become a hassle [a chore!] with the price hikes, my gray matter [brain], working as a calculator, is in overdrive with this task these days. It gets a bit over-heated. LOL...

In the collage of ten photos [NOT the first photo published of the pathway], the first image of the tree--there is a yellow-bellied sapsucker [bird -woodpecker] barely visible, can you find it? And then, with my heart search fetish...the cardinal photo; notice the heart shaped leaves?
I feel the same about grocery shopping. There are some things I just won't buy any more because the price has gone up so much.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't spot the bird in the first picture but I did notice the hearts in the cardinal picture.
Same here...just keep walking by the product and not buy it!!
DeleteAll the photos are beautiful but my favorite is the Cardinal...so sweet.
ReplyDeleteAlmost $9 dollars for a half gallon of of Blue Bell ice cream??? I kept walking and the shoppers around me, did the same. Stores are loosing a Lot of product because they can't sell it!
hugs
Donna
Months ago, I thought $6.98 for a gallon of blue Bell ice cream was atrocious!!
DeleteSo many beautiful flowers and I love the cardinal! My favorite Tillamook ice cream is $6.50 and think that's just awful but $9 for ice cream? This MUST stop!
ReplyDeleteIt's ridiculous. Price gouging?!!
DeleteI buy what we need, no matter the price. I only buy needs, the foods we can eat, I have certain things I can eat and they are really high prices. eveything continues to rise and I don't see it stopping, so no idea how long I CAN buy what we eat. I can't find the bird. even with enlarging photos. the cardinal is stunning.
ReplyDeleteI still have yet to go look for Cheerios!!
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThere are a few things we stopped buying, the prices are ridiculous! I can not find the Sapsucker. The Cardinal and heart leaves is lovely. Happy Sunday, have a wonderful week!
He will be revealed tomorrow!
DeleteBeautiful photos, Anni! And yes, I think I spotted the woodpecker in the tree!
ReplyDeleteThe price hikes are insane. I went to Target last week to get a 4-pack of TP, and the price went from $4.99 to over $6.00!! I walked out and went to Trader Joe's and got a 6-pak for $3.99. It's getting to the point where I have to go to three different stores when I shop to get the best prices. UGH!
Have a great Sunday, my friend!
Insane. Price of to $ upwards to taking out a loan at the bank!!
DeleteAnni a very pretty series of photos...I think I see the yellow bellied sapsucker. Large branch on the left about 1/2 up...MAYBE. LOL
ReplyDeleteWell I love Cardinals for so many reasons top two RED and they are our State Bird. Mr. C must be 'exhibiting' his heart to his Mrs.
I have always loved planning our weekly menus and shopping. I still love the planning although now I'm planning more meals that can be used for 2 nights. Shopping is a challenge.
Hugs Cecilia
I know your favorite color!! 🙂
DeleteI love everything about that cardinal picture! All of the pictures are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe blue flowers are my favorite! I was determined to find that Sapsucker! I think I may see it, toward the bottom of the photo?
ReplyDeleteThose are more bluebonnets!
DeleteI'm pretty much the same. Didn't find the bird (or possibly saw something on the left), but did see the heart shaped leaves. And prices ARE really high. I have to buy GF and that's even worse. Almost everything (a box of cookies or a loaf of bread) cost $7... and DH did pay $9 for BlueBell ice-cream recently. I would have left it, but he loves his ice-cream.
ReplyDeleteThe health foods are more costly...true!!
DeleteWell. phooey, I couldn't find the sapsucker for anything..I did find the heart leaves and the gorgeous cardinal. all the photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you on the grocery prices..Lots of grumbling as I go up and down the rows.
Sue
Grumbling...good choice of emotion!!
DeleteLovely flowers and I really like that drawing of you. I haven't blogged for awhile, so this is the first time I've seen it. You truly are a multi-talented woman!
ReplyDeleteThanks Inger.
DeleteI make a list and my neighbor/friend shops for me.She does her best, as I like only certain brands. I don't complain - it would not help. What helps is that my other neighbor brings a dozen fresh eggs weekly, no charge, so I'm very lucky! Flowers always bring up the spirit! Nice array today.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky!!
DeleteAll such pretty pics!
ReplyDeleteI can't find that sapsucker, even with the picture blown up. :( But I do see the heart leaf!
❤️🥬
DeleteWow the pictures of the birds along your walk are amazing. Couldn't find the bird.
ReplyDeletePrices going up here as well. We've run out of ice cream waiting for it to go on sale. The sale price is 3 for $10, unless that has changed too!!
3 for 10 is cheap!!
DeleteBeautiful set of pictures. Prices are rising here in Canada as well but the pensions are not keeping up.
ReplyDeleteSame here!
DeleteA splendid series of beautiful photos that signal Spring's arrival! I love that close-up of the cardinal. Thankfully, the price of eggs has gotten to $2.32 a dozen here. It was over $4.00 not long ago.
ReplyDeleteYay! I like to read about prices dropping!!
DeleteI finally found the bird after enlarging the photo and searching diligently. And the hearts all make me smile, always.
ReplyDelete🙂🔍🦉
DeleteI think I got a glimpse of the sapsucker after I enlarged the picture. Upper left hand corner, was it? Last week when we walked our Sunday walk ( Fish Trap Cr.) there were lots of birds and I couldn't see them all that well. Today I took my binoculars and would you believe there were next to no birds other than the ducks. I did hear a sparrow (?) sing and I have to see if I can identify its song somehow. Never did spot it though, just heard it. GM
ReplyDeleteBirding, I have learned over the years is 'right place at the right time'!
DeleteI had to enlarge the photo and look hard for the bird, but I found it. Thanks for pointing out the heart-shaped leaves in the cardinal picture. ❤️ Cheerful Monk
ReplyDeleteHigh 5! You found him!
DeleteThe photo of the cardinal is magnificent, such intense color! All of the photos are grand! Thank you! Have a grand week!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed them Cathy.
DeleteHa ha! Love the "I spy" woodpecker photo! Such a wonderful tree he chose too. And the cardinal amongst the heart-shaped leaves is perfect. Our cardinals returned a few days ago - to me, nothing says spring more than their song. All of your photos, though, are stunning. And what a beautiful way of capturing the morning walk. Groceries are crazy here too. I never, ever, buy soda as I don't drink it - but picked up a 12-pack this weekend on a whim as I like to have it on hand if I expect I might be having someone stop by. It was "on sale" for $9.99, marked down from the "regular" $11.99. Seriously? Since when does soda cost that? (That was a rhetorical question....) And to think I live in Nod. Can only imagine larger places. ~Robin~ (TheCrankyCrow)
ReplyDeletePrices are crazy!! By the way, we have cardinals year 'round. Jealous? 😁
DeleteI could not see the woodpecker, but did notice the heart shaped leaves on the picture of the cardinal, which is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots--and I really like your new banner as well.
Thanks!
DeleteI DID see those things and your photos are beautiful! I sliced up an avocado today and thought of you noticing the heart shape in the middle. Yep! There it was again today!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!
DeleteI would love to know if I would have seen the sapsucker if I had not seen your newer post first! Saying that, I did enjoy the photos.
