...and what do pigeons do to statues? They have a point!!

...Can we uninstall 2020 and reinstall? Seems my [and yours too?] version has a virus!!!
...They told me a mask and gloves were all you need to wear to the grocery store. They lied. All the other shoppers were wearing clothes.
...Sometimes I wonder if all this happening is because I never did forward the message a while ago to 10 other people!!
Lastly: I figured I could 'kill two birds with one stone" with this gesture. One, to keep my hands off my face, and two, to beat the heat here in South Texas. One cone in each hand works for me!
And what's this new thing the Governor is asking us to do during this 2nd time around? Ummmm, wasn't that we were to stay home? Enlarge this image to see the inbound traffic here in Corpus. This explains the huge uptick in Covid numbers!!

.my afghan/crochet update:

Outside our patio door:

The top two covid pictures are funny. I suppose (unless you have the virus) you may as well laugh about it to keep from going crazy.
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit toasty here today and my house feels like an oven so I could go for one of those ice cream cones.
The first two are more protest than pandemic. If you have the virus, and the energy isn't zapped from you, laughter is still good and hopefully healing.
DeleteI love the pictures.... I love the memes.... I love everything about this post, Anni! All except the fact that the virus numbers are climbing with wild abandon! ~Andrea XOXO
ReplyDelete...and the #s are climbing higher & higher with each passing day...I'm thinking it really isn't phase two but an extension of the FIRST phase.
DeleteThis post is great!
ReplyDeleteThe humor of the events is hilarious but also so sad.
It's so awful what happened to the images ... we can't change history, right?
That's the point...laugh, and the world laughs with you. Even serious events can be made light of, and take a load off the mind for a while. We all need it.
DeleteHa, poor pigeons do not have any statues to stand on. Love your cute kitty and the hibiscus. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWell...stand on was not what I had pictured lol
DeleteI laughed smiled or giggled at each one of these and they're all so true and so funny. I love the protester pigeons and that one says so much that I will not comment on
ReplyDeleteMe too..
DeletePigeon protesters had me rofl
The afghan is coming along very well! There are many "humorous" posts regarding the pandemic. I guess I don't think it is funny at all. There are other things to laugh about.
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad the humor of the pandemic doesn't settle well with you. Personally having a light side helps me deal with the serious issues we've been facing. Each folk has a different stroke, I guess. I won't stop sharing the funny side tho.
DeleteOh my gosh - two jokes I hadn't seen before.
ReplyDeleteI loved them - so true too.
Good...laughter is good! I personally enjoyed the pigeons.
DeleteThe jokes we're great!
ReplyDeleteThe ice cream looks delicious!
The photos beautiful...great post Anni🍦
I've been eating way too much ice cream lately...so, bought fat free frozen yogurt this time. Lol
DeleteThanks Jan
The jokes were all delightful. Thank you--we need that. Laughed out loud at not forwarding the message to 10 people. I hated those and their promise of awful things if we didn't or huge rewards if we did:)
ReplyDeleteYes...we all need it these days! I know...I didn't like those chain emails either!
DeleteLove the humor...my sentiments exactly....
ReplyDeleteTrying to behave and social distance..the masks get to me after a while but I will continue to wear mine for everyone's sake.
Sue
The masks play a two fold rule for me...even tho the experts say it's preventing YOUR germs being spread, I too think it helps ME from being contaminated in some ways. Not perfectly, but helps. Yes, they are cumbersome, but so are bras & jock straps...men & women wearing them for decades...I can live with the masks for an hour or two while in public!
DeleteEnjoyed the humor. Miss Duncan - sad but true.
ReplyDeleteI did have an ice cream cone this afternoon. :)
Delicious, yes?
DeleteYour pansy afghan is GORGEOUS!!!! That is my favorite here today. But the jokes are darn funny, I have been reading them to Phil. Beautiful hibiscus. Now I want to put our cat on my phone.
ReplyDeleteIsaiah loves to be shown off!
DeleteI never saw your post today, Anni. I wouldn't have missed it on purpose, but it never showed up in my news feed! Just letting you know I never miss commenting on purpose. :-)
ReplyDeleteJust good to know you're okay!
DeleteOooh! That afghan is looking great! I love the pop of color.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your jokes today. Read the one about this happening because of not forwarding aloud to Bob. We both got a good laugh out of it!
I'm using up a lot of scrap savings of yarn on this. Even if the colors are not quite 'right' for pansies. lol
Deletepretty flowers
ReplyDeleteThose are my favorite hibiscus in our yard.
DeleteI burst out laughing at the top two, especially the pigeons. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteOh me too...that one was funny.
DeleteLove it so much
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteThis was a cute read! Your afghan is so beautiful, as are your flowers. Wishes for a delightful Friday.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much.
DeleteSo refreshingly humorous!! I love this post and as always you made my day! Have a wonderful weekend (reinstalled)!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathy. Trust me when I say...your VISITS are refreshing!
DeleteHi, Wanted to answer your questions about the Dash mini waffle maker. It is so easy to use and to clean. One cup of batter makes 7 or 8 small waffles. I am sorry I did not buy one sooner!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll be getting one if it"s easy to clean. :-)
Deleteyou are right, customers were wearing cloth, not mask and gloves....hehehe....lol.
ReplyDeleteYour ice creams so appealing....
Stay safe by avoiding heat and virus....
Morning hours I am active, but come high noon, I'm indoors!
DeleteYou're a hoot! I enjoyed your post. I actually laughed out loud when I read what you said about forwarding a message to 10 other people. It reminded me of how angry my mother used to get when she received chain letters in the mail... before the age of copiers and emails.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting & taking time to comment.
DeleteI enjoyed all of these!
