More Covid & Current Events Humor
This and That...

...and what do pigeons do to statues? They have a point!!
Actually, so does the teacher.
not my two images, courtesy of the internet

...Can we uninstall 2020 and reinstall? Seems my [and yours too?] version has  a virus!!!

...They told me a mask and gloves were all you need to wear to the grocery store. They lied. All the other shoppers were wearing clothes.

...Sometimes I wonder if all this happening is because I never did forward the message a while ago to 10 other people!!

Lastly: I figured I could 'kill two birds with one stone" with this gesture. One, to keep my hands off my face, and two, to beat the heat here in South Texas. One cone in each hand works for me!

And what's this new thing the Governor is asking us to do during this 2nd time around? Ummmm, wasn't that we were to stay home? Enlarge this image to see the inbound traffic here in Corpus. This explains the huge uptick in Covid numbers!!

  1. The top two covid pictures are funny. I suppose (unless you have the virus) you may as well laugh about it to keep from going crazy.
It's a bit toasty here today and my house feels like an oven so I could go for one of those ice cream cones.

    1. The first two are more protest than pandemic. If you have the virus, and the energy isn't zapped from you, laughter is still good and hopefully healing.

  2. I love the pictures.... I love the memes.... I love everything about this post, Anni! All except the fact that the virus numbers are climbing with wild abandon! ~Andrea XOXO

    1. ...and the #s are climbing higher & higher with each passing day...I'm thinking it really isn't phase two but an extension of the FIRST phase.

  3. This post is great!
The humor of the events is hilarious but also so sad.
It's so awful what happened to the images ... we can't change history, right?

    1. That's the point...laugh, and the world laughs with you. Even serious events can be made light of, and take a load off the mind for a while. We all need it.

  4. Ha, poor pigeons do not have any statues to stand on. Love your cute kitty and the hibiscus. Have a great day!

  6. The afghan is coming along very well! There are many "humorous" posts regarding the pandemic. I guess I don't think it is funny at all. There are other things to laugh about.

    1. That's too bad the humor of the pandemic doesn't settle well with you. Personally having a light side helps me deal with the serious issues we've been facing. Each folk has a different stroke, I guess. I won't stop sharing the funny side tho.

  9. The jokes were all delightful. Thank you--we need that. Laughed out loud at not forwarding the message to 10 people. I hated those and their promise of awful things if we didn't or huge rewards if we did:)

Trying to behave and social distance..the masks get to me after a while but I will continue to wear mine for everyone's sake.

    1. The masks play a two fold rule for me...even tho the experts say it's preventing YOUR germs being spread, I too think it helps ME from being contaminated in some ways. Not perfectly, but helps. Yes, they are cumbersome, but so are bras & jock straps...men & women wearing them for decades...I can live with the masks for an hour or two while in public!

  21. You're a hoot! I enjoyed your post. I actually laughed out loud when I read what you said about forwarding a message to 10 other people. It reminded me of how angry my mother used to get when she received chain letters in the mail... before the age of copiers and emails.
