Bud and I finished a very colorful, challenging puzzle....

...the other day I found a 500 piece panda bear puzzle. It's a bit different for us, it's 5D [not 3 d, but, yes, 5 d]. I think the bear will jump out at us as we work it. As long as it doesn't mistake us for bamboo, I think we'll be okay. Can't wait to try it out.
Once we finished the puzzle it was finally time for the stores to open! Two essential stores, Pet Smart [for cat litter -TMI?] and the Liquor Store. LOL I admit, I try to be a good patient and not mix the hard stuff with my heart meds, but on occasion, I will have a favored frozen margarita. On this day, Bud said he had to stop at Wine and More...it's, for the both of us, like two kids in a candy store! The store area is certainly a large warehouse/supercenter!! Bud was out of scotch [his preferred drink]. Me? I just like to browse and buy something new to taste. Of course, 99% of the time, Bud will finish the bottle I buy. This time, I spotted Canadian Whiskey [bottled in USA] that was Cinnamon Flavored! I thought..."oooo, wow, yum!" So, off I went to find the dear man, and go pay for my new tasting treasure! Got home, and that night, had a shot glass...and whoa, Nelly, that was delicious!! Bud is gonna be sorely disappointed when he finds I'm gonna hoard that stuff!!! And yes, they have a cigar room, where you can enjoy a smoke and drink on property - - not me, but whomever wishes to do so.

If you ever had cinnamon oil from the drug store [we bought vials of it when we were kids and soaked toothpicks in the oil and chewed on them -now-a-days you need a written Rx for that oil!!] Anyway, it is a very smooth, mellow whiskey [I'm not a connoisseur by any means but I know what I like] and this Catch Fire tastes like the good ol' days of yore! But, 66% proof...lol
Wine & MORE would be right, the place looks huge!! We all need a few stiff drinks what with the shape the country is in now!! Is this lion puzzle 1,000 pieces? It looks SO hard! Your panda puzzle, I have never heard of one like it! I am going to look on Amazon now! Where did you get it, I want one!
ReplyDeleteIt's a massive liquor store! And, if they don't have what you want they order! I got the puzzle at a local store (not a chain store). ...but, I bet amazon would have 'em.

DeleteWOW, that's a big place. I have a hard enough time making a decision going in to our dinky little wine and spirit store. I've never heard of cinnamon wiskey but I have had cinnamon schnapps. It's really good mixed with apple cider and then heated up. I drove by the wine and spirt store the other day and thought about stopping in but then I didn't
ReplyDeleteIt's really good.
DeleteHello, we have some of the big wine/liquor stores here too. The cinnamon flavored whiskey sounds interesting. I usually only drink red wine, but I would give this whiskey a try. Love the puzzle picture! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI think you may like it.
DeleteThe cinnamon flavor sounds interesting...even though I don't drink. I have had some homemade blackberry wine that I like. But I actually think I am one that could be an alcoholic if I found something I liked. So I don't even try. LOL
ReplyDeleteI bet that homemade wine was really good!
DeleteIt was some my brother was trying to make when I was in high school...it was really sweet, and not sure it was full 'done.' But I only had a little sip or two.
DeleteOh sure are pretty floors in that building. I love the lion and I had no idea that there was such a thing as a 3D or 5D puzzle
ReplyDeleteYep, it's new to me too.
DeleteI love all the colors in the Lion puzzle. Vodka is our drink of choice, mixed with OJ. Never tasted whiskey!
ReplyDeleteThat's a screwdriver.
DeleteI don't think I've ever tasted whiskey. This one sounds interesting, though. I think I'll stick to red wine. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the fruity wines & sparkling white wines.
DeleteThank you so much for this post Anni!
ReplyDeleteI was LOL!!!
Love that puzzle!!!
Hugs 🍷
Lol...come have a shot with me!
DeleteI could feel the BURN all the way down.
ReplyDeleteNot my drink of choice but this does sound intriguing.
Glad things are opening up for you.
Hubby and I had our first small group (Bible Study) meeting at our home last night.
We haven't been together for 4 months.
There were 8 of us and I have to admit we all hugged each other.
so much happiness in seeing each other face to face.
We sat on our patio...socially distancing and gabbed for 3 solid hours.
It was the best medicine ever!!!
Sue
That sounds WONDERFUL!
DeleteThat is interesting. Pretty sure it would give you great breath and might even fool a breathalyzer. Three D is impressive. Five D is hard to imagine. Can't wait to see your panda puzzle finished.
ReplyDeleteNever thought in those terms Patti!
DeleteHonestly, I rarely finish puzzles. Great that You did it.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, we could smoke cigar in the liquor store...
Have a wonderful day.
I thought so too.
DeleteThat puzzle does look like a difficult one. We do puzzles all winter when the snow falls.
ReplyDeleteNever did a 3 or 5 D one though.
Here, it's really too hot so, our puzzling is usually in the summer.
Deletei'll leave all that strong stuff for you. Pepsi or a Root Beer is about all I can handle. LOL
ReplyDeleteA root beer float sounds good!
DeleteThis is more my speed, too. I love a Pepsi or Coke with Butter Pecan ice cream for a float. The nuts usually go to the bottom. It is the best flavor!
DeleteThat's a very colorful puzzle! I bet it was hard, but then a 5D panda puzzle isn't going to be easy either.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a whiskey drinker, but I'm glad you found one you like. :)
I'm really not a drinker, period. But, on occasion....
DeleteCinnomon whiskey is pretty good in coffee
ReplyDeleteI'm not a coffee drinker.
Delete*haha* The title of this post made me laugh, Anni. I loved reading it! I'm a whiskey girl through-and-through. Straight up, on the rocks, whatever... Gentleman Jack (Daniels) is my poison of choice but I usually settle for plain ole Jack. I don't drink much anymore but just a few short years ago, when I did, I was known at the biker bar we go to, for being able to drink any biker guy "under the table". I'm not exactly proud of that fact but it was what it was. For whatever reason Jack just doesn't affect me, like it does others. The cinnamon stuff is so sweet tho, that it makes me gag. But lots of people enjoy it and I'm glad you do too.
ReplyDeleteA shot or two and a nice new 500 piece puzzle. Sounds like a recipe for a nice evening!
Love, Andrea XOXO
Love to read your comments & enjoy the lifestyle you lead when younger...soubd so much like me. Lol
DeleteThat cinnamon whiskey sounds good. I can't drink much due to my migraines, but I do like an Irish coffee on occasion... and do use bourbon in marinating steaks or in bread pudding whiskey sauce!
ReplyDeleteAnd we're doing (actually DH is doing - I put a piece in here and there) a 2000 piece puzzle of cats in a cupboard - it may take a year or more to finish. But that's OK as I fear we may have to stay 'sheltering' that long. Wish we had the beautiful areas you have to walk and bird in. But keep sending pics so we can enjoy your walks virtually!
Whiskey sauce & bread pudding. Oh my word that sounds good. 2000 pc. puzzle? Whoa.
DeleteWow that place is huge! Intriguing puzzle, too, I've never heard of a 5-d one.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'm gonna like this puzzle (5D).
