Again, a mundane week so far. Too hot, not much walking, hardly any outdoor time, and a bit boring. Like a Colorado winter when you're locked in because of snow accumulation...we here in South Texas are accumulating the heat index. It's Summer in the Coastal Bend! If you don't get out before 10 a.m., you're stuck. Stuck to your clothes for sure! Try taking a shower and dry off...nope, not gonna work. You're just as wet as you are IN the shower. But, the silver lining is...no ice or snow or really cold in December thru March. I'll take it. Complain, yes...but I'll take it.
I've done a little crocheting [I'm half way thru the pattern], a bit of yard work; laying mulch. Trimming here and there, but the job of work is clearly not done nor will be in the near future. We're more or less hermits for now. Reading, puzzle working [This one is gonna drive us insane. Of course that drive is a short trip - or so I've been told before many times]. It's the Panda Bear 5 D puzzle and the pieces 'MOVE'. I fear this one will take us weeks to finish. Crazy. Of course, we're not going anywhere, so doesn't matter. I do know that once this one IS done, I won't buy another of any "D"!!! If you're curious, I recorded a 16 second video of puzzle piece and moved it around to show how it changes at a glance! Click here.Early one morning this week, as I stated above, I laid out five bags of hardwood mulch in our raised flower bed. Bud carried the heavy bags to the back yard from the garage, so I figured my job was to empty them and then spread it as evenly as I could around the bird of paradise plant and 'bottle tree'. Done. Need ONE MORE bag tho. Will get it when I get back to that store....hope they'll have the same kind. But, my luck?
After this, I walked around both front and back yards and snapped photos of yard and some of the flowers blooming. One of my favorite bushes are in full bloom, of which will be my next post. [two of three kinds...the strawberries and cream haven't opened up yet.]
....then, went in, cooled off, made me a frozen margarita and started to prepare a deep dish vegetarian pizza with zucchini, green and red peppers, onions, and mushroom! Both the margarita and piece of pizza [served with tossed salad] hit the spot. After dishes, a night at the movies. We watched Red2 with Bruce Willis.

I have never seen a puzzle like this, I am so glad you made that video. I think we will not be buying one, I have enough trouble with No D. Your bottle tree is pretty, we have a lot of those around here. I think shortly I will be doing my blue bottle tree post. It has been chilly here, and rain for a week.
ReplyDeleteI could handle rain & chilly!
DeleteOMG, that puzzle would put me over the edge.
ReplyDeleteThat pizza sure does sound good. I was craving pizza yesterday and now the craving is back.
For us too. Needless to say, we don't work long hours on it at one time.
DeleteWow on the moving puzzle piece! I'm with Jenny and have never seen anything like it of course I've never bought a puzzle so that could be why I've never seen any. I bet it's going to be gorgeous when you finally get it together and it does give you something to do. We two are in that heat humidity thing but yesterday was the oddest day because it was 89 degrees at 4 in the afternoon and the humidity was at 53 so it was actually cool outside. But that didn't last long.
ReplyDeleteWow...that humidity reading sounds pretty awesome right now.
DeleteHello, I like the puzzle, but it does sound hard. The bottle tree is cute. Pizza is my favorite meal, love it. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteIt is a challenge.
DeleteWe're having a great week with grandies!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those bird watching times!
DeleteI can't stand that sort of heat, either. And that puzzle seems designed to make you go a little crazy, Anni. Yikes! :-)
ReplyDeleteYep...to both thoughts!
DeleteNo thanks to the puzzle! Thanks for the warning video link...that would drive me over the edge...a short drive to say the least in this day and age :)
ReplyDeleteTasty meal and drink.
Love that bottle tree plant!
Hugs And Have a Great Day 🌞
Thanks Jan. Have a great day yourself.
DeleteThe puzzle interests me, not to buy one but to learn of your experience putting it together and seeing the final completion. Not liking your weather conditions at all! Humidity is awful! I don't know how you get through it.
ReplyDeleteIt truly is an 'experience'.
Deleteheat and humid are awful condition...
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteThanks for the video. You convinced me to pass. Sorry about the heat but know it is as easy to be heat bound as snow bound. Thanks for that pizza. Made me drool a bit.
ReplyDeleteThe pizza was good.
DeleteMost puzzles drive me insane anyway... not my thing. But I do try to help DH on occasion. He is really good with them. 5D is out of the question! the 2000 piece one we're doing now is of cats (of course) on a cupboard and the pieces are so small it's almost impossible to identify anything. I'll post a pic when we get a bit further along. We love pizza too - vegetarian for me (mostly onion, garlic, and tomato) and pepperoni for the boys.
ReplyDeleteI was never 'into' puzzles 'til my sister bouhht me a puzzle table. Now, we're addicted. 2000 would be a bit much for me. 1000 is tough & my limit in number. I look forward to your puzzle photo.
DeleteYes.... busying ourselves with "home" is everyone's agenda, pretty much, isn't it, Anni. Us too. It's hot here too, in northern-most Indiana, so I figured it would be really hot where you are. With us it's a double-edged sword in that since we have to be home, lots of "home stuff" is getting done. Usually we'd be off on the motorcycle or having the grandgirls over for weeks at a time, thus none of the To-Do List would be getting done. But oh how boring it seems to be now, that we can't do those other "get out & go" things. The strength of our ancestors, who had no car & no money to go or do things except work & to the corner market, is becoming more evident to me with each passing week. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteLaying at home in front of the tv will help save humanity. First time in history health officials agree.
DeleteI had to smile when I read your post today.
ReplyDeleteI just came in from our yard too. I shoveled 3/4 of a full huge Green Waste can. We have so many leaves that have accumulated through the years and the lawn guy has just added to it.
My hubby finally said ENOUGH and so we are putting them in the can every week. Still have 4 or 5 weeks to go !! the pile is up in the corner and out of the way so it gets ignored...except by the neighbors cat...perfect cat box he thinks...Nope...no more...
It was already 80F so I wanted to do it before it got any hotter.
The lawn guy comes tomorrow so I wanted the can to be ready for his grass clippings.
I'm pooped now and the house is welcomingly cool.
so it's time to play on my laptop for a while and have something to drink.
Sue
Oh dear...I really don't envy you cleaning up the huge cat litter pile. (And I love cats)
DeleteThat puzzle would completely un-do me☺ but that pizza..............!
ReplyDeleteAgree...
Deletenice post :) I follow you # 729 , follow back?

Thanks...I'll visit soon.
DeleteThat puzzle looks like it is going to be awfully hard. Good luck with it.
ReplyDeleteOur summers here are usually like one long spring. Doesn't get all that hot, but we do get quite a bit of cold and snow. (but then I like winter)
That pizza sure looks GOOD!!
Summers like a long spring...that sound perfect.
DeleteYou had a good day - accomplished a lot and then had a nice evening.
ReplyDeleteI really like your bottle bush!
...couldn't be better. I had all my favorites with me. Makes a nice evening.
DeleteYou've been busy even though you've been confined. I've been spreading mulch and refurbishing outdoor figures, too. Thankfully, I'm finished! Have a wonderful weeked!
ReplyDeleteI have one frog figurine that needs repair work. Hmmmm, since you're finished with your work....ummm, *hint*
DeleteLol
Note self-----i will not be getting a puzzle like that. That heat makes me uncomfortable just reading about it. It is cool enough here today for jeans and a jacket.
ReplyDeleteCool temps...that sounds great right now.
DeleteI haven't looked at the video but very interested...just can not right now...
ReplyDeleteNo problem.
DeleteOkay...i had a quiet moment to watch...it might drive me crazy to. I have worked ohito mosaics and love them. But i have one called the Gray Wolf and my friend'shusband told me to work or burn it and he did nit care which.
ReplyDeleteBurning this puzzle has crossed my mind once or twice. Lol
DeleteI love doing puzzles, but have never heard of a 5D one with moving pieces. I think that would be a little too challenging for me. Would love to see what it looks like when you're done.
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna be a long time I think.
