Trekking Thursday....

It was a beautiful morning yesterday [Thursday -low 70s and dry, delightful and gentle breeze]. I headed to the islands before sunrise, anxious to get thru the construction before they began again and I would end up stuck, idling in the car, while they blocked off traffic. Not so lucky tho. I could see ahead of me, the workers out and about before me...I whipped a U turn and went back to another park on the island just after I drop off the causeway. I was still able to watch the sunrise over the channel. While I was looking to the horizon, I noticed a jet stream of vapor in the sky above the sun peeking over the Gulf dunes. After I took some images of the sun through the trees [one, zooming in to see the heat waves through the branches], I followed the jet stream and zoomed in...

I walked along the channel shore, along Sand Dollar Road, and along the boardwalk. Not really getting my total steps in [short by about 3000 steps], I still enjoyed the morning quiet and the weather...

Happy May Day!

  7. Nice catch by Ginny. I had to go back and look also. Cool.
Just realized that I haven't seen any contrails lately either. Few cars on the road and few planes in the air.

  13. Beautiful sunrise. I am back to walking daily and don't care any more whether I reach 10,000 steps, as long as I get out and about. :-)
