While walking along the quiet beach
I saw an incredibly beautiful sky! Even tho I have been suffering from a severe cough and a feeling of being worn down, I had to get out and get some sunshine.

I just couldn't stop looking up most all the time. The cloud formations were dazzling!

As I tallied up my steps I took some other snaps of the shutter. Along the dunes, sometimes you'll notice crosses placed here and there [3rd photo in series]. Usually it is a swimmer or surfer that got caught in rip currents and didn't make it out alive...

Surfers and brown pelicans entertain those of us that do our walking along the shoreline...

I loved seeing the long, long shadow of the tiny sanderling on the sandy shore, flattened by the ebbing tide [below] making him a giant in the world of small!

...on the drive out of the channel's parking lot, these two images appeared in my viewfinder...

I was tired, but happy to be outdoors in the fresh air. I don't like feeling sick. I did go nap in the afternoon.
That was definitely worth getting out for. LOVE the second photo down.
ReplyDeleteIncredible it was.
DeleteGlad you're feeling well enough to get out and about, and that sanderling shot with the long shadow is priceless. :-)
ReplyDeleteI thought it was kinda magical.
Deletejust the sky photos were worth the walk! they are amazing! walking along beaches always makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteIt too is a happy place for me.
DeleteWhat a great outing you had!! Love the skies and the beaches. Those crosses are a wakeup call. Our son is not as good a swimmer as he thinks he is so I worry about him getting caught in an undertow or rip tide.
ReplyDeleteOh ya, I understand. Even the expert swimmers can drown.
DeleteYour sky shots are beautiful. I always think a bit of sunshine can help most anything.
ReplyDeleteIt's warm and soothing.
DeleteThe sky shots are awesome. Sure do hope you will feel much better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ms. G
DeleteSo glad you felt up to taking the walk and bringing us along. Those cloud formations were really interesting. Please don't ignore the cough too long like I did. Sometimes just a few days of antibiotics will put you right.
ReplyDeleteIt's the lack of sound sleep that's worse than the cough.
DeleteI'm so sorry; I hope you get better real soon! I think going out may have been good for you, you want to keep up your strength. The star of this post is the sky!! It looks like many different skies, just truly awesome!!! And it was just for you! And us now.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your thoughts, Ginny.
DeleteThose skies look amazing. Sometimes just being in God's great outdoors is healing in and of itself.
ReplyDeleteYour words could not be more true.
DeleteHere's to better health for all! It does seem to be hitting so many folks, take good care of you. Your photos are so lovely and you always brighten my visits. I love your humor too!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you could drop by today!
DeleteSorry you've been sick! Fresh air is good for you though and so is seeing all that beauty. I love the pics.
ReplyDeleteYou asked about the typewriter on my post. Yes, it's an antique typewriter. I had been looking in antique stores for a while and was happy to find one at a decent price. :)
The fresh air does wonders.
DeleteYour photo of the clouds over the beach is just incredible! This was one walk that just had to happen. I hope you felt better after the nap!
ReplyDeleteI did...but napping makes it all the mire difficult for me to sleep at night. Bummer
DeleteI find the shell interesting. After once visiting a Natural History Museum there so many shape and sizes to them.
ReplyDeleteTrue!
DeleteThe first 2 shots of the sunset were amazing. I also love looking at the sky and seeing all the changes.
ReplyDeleteCloud formations are hypnotic.
DeleteI cannot remember the numbers of my favorites...you sure got some fine shots. I like that long shadow, too. I bet it did feel good to be out and about.
ReplyDeleteIt was great getting outdoors!
