Okay on with the showcase. Aka...more movie stuff....

Wizard of Oz [Jim Shore collectables], a pencil sketch of the movie's characters - a Rose DeWitt-Bukater/Dawson doll from the movie TITANIC, She's wearing my favorite gown in the movie. The Tin Man made by Bud with canned good tins, Mater from Cars, and The Terror of Trilolgy doll that Bud carved for me from wood. [there is also a very small wicked witch from Sleeping Beauty], and a music box that plays "Cats".

Star Wars AT AT and B B8 clock [also in the background Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean]

Alien, Koda from Brother Bear, and Kung Fu Panda panda, The Corpse Bride, Phantom of the Opera that I drew in pencil, and Charlie Chaplain back from the Silent Movie Era. I have more but, this is the end of what photos I took.
A lot of our 'theater' is framed drawings, art prints from studios collected over the years, dolls, toys [several pieces from Erik's childhood - his favorite was the
At At ...when he went into the Corps then moved out of home, to start a career in Houston, I couldn't throw it out; he spent hours and years playing with it -making his own sound effects and all. I can still hear him - the bygone days.]
On a side note: I've been an extra in two movies. One filmed in Tubac Arizona, TIN CUP with Kevin Costner [I have tons of paraphernaila with this too. Maybe I'll get 'em out of storage and share? Would you care to see those?] And, the other was filmed at a guest ranch in Arizona for TV - A SRANGER TO LOVE starring Pam Dawber. It can also be seen online here...I'm in a restaurant wearing a olive green dress.

Anni, you're a STAR!!! I loved looking at all this memorabilia and would LOVE to see some from "Tin Cup". How fun!! Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI've seen it...to me, it was a 'B' movie. And, if I remember right, it didn't do well at the box office either.
DeleteWow, I know a movie star :) I've seen Tin cup and the other one sounds familiar but not sure if I saw it or not. You definitely need to share the memorabilia you have from these.
ReplyDeleteWhen A STRANGER TO LOVE first came out on TV it was aired on Lifetime. Now, Hallmark?
DeleteYou sure do know how to take paraphernalia and make it interesting! I love your drawings especially. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks D J
DeleteI have seen A stranger to love, but not Tin Can.. I love Kevin Costner, and am sad Yellowstone is over for the season... while reading your list of what you have collected I thought about what movies I would collect from and just might do a post... yes I want to see the things that are in storage. there is a plus to all this collection, it is also valuable not just loved.
ReplyDeleteMonetary value isn't a big deal. Family appreciation for me saving it, I'm sure, means more.
DeleteYour wondrous collections and activities are really exceptional. That is an amazing post with all of the descriptions and accompanying pictures. I especially love the hand-made Tin Man.
ReplyDeleteI do too. I think he did a great job.
DeleteWow, you really have some treasures. I think I have seen and enjoyed all the movies you have collected memorabilia from. Will look for your green dress. I was an extra in War Eagle Arkansas and I am pretty sure my left ear made the cut. It was fun seeing how movie making is mostly hurry up and wait.
ReplyDeleteI didn't care for the director with Tin Cup. A lotta ego clashes.
DeleteFun stuff, but I think I might have trouble falling asleep in such a room.
ReplyDeleteJust pop in a movie you have seen a dozen times & you'll fall asleep. Works for me.
DeleteWow, this is all so cool! My favorites are your awesome sketches, and the tin man that Bud made. Yes, for sure I would love to see the Kevin Costner things! You have had a lot of adventures!
ReplyDeleteI'll try to remember to get them out of storage. Thanks Ginny
DeleteNow I am going to want to watch A Stranger to Love!
ReplyDeleteIt IS a good movie!
