What IS that thing?? I am going to guess it is either not something alive, or it was from the sea. The mop orange feeders are DARLING!!! That was a stroke of genius. The wildflowers are beautiful! The only two I think I know are Hedge Bindweed and Cleome (spider flower).
Loving all the wildflowers. Those mop handle feeders are just brilliant. Now I want to know what that thing is in the last picture. It does look pretty creepy
the creepy thing looks like the tip off a palmetto palm maybe. it is creepy and the face above it is so precious. beautiful flowers and my favorite today is the sun through the clouds on the water. so beautiful.. you are so creative with the rag mops
Yes, I too, think it is part of a palmetto palm. Who would ever think that your orange feeders were once mop heads! Wonderful and ingenious. Pretty flowers.
those mop handle feeders are cute! I must try them as we have all kind of birds That bug is creepy. Love the flowers esp the Indian Paint Brush very top left!
I'm thinking it is a palmetto branch? They creep me out when they fall as I'm walking -- they sound like a snake. ssss. Love the bird feeders -- I remember being surprised seeing oranges used at the birding places in Port A. (where I saw my first orioles because of them). Beautiful wildflowers!
I knew that sci-fi thing had to be some kind of plant material, so I looked in your Tags - palm frond! I agree, it does look kinda scary Love your Oriole feeders! I am wondering if an cheap bathroom plunger (bought at the dollar store, completely worthless) would make a feeder, but I guess the handle is too short. Beautiful flowers Have a wonderful week!
Interesting, Anni, the oranges...I've never seen anything like it. Maybe Canadian birds don't like oranges. Hmm. The flowers are beautiful, but I love the ocean photos, especially the one with people on the...what is it?...pier? breakwater? Great stuff. Thanks for sharing. DeleteYou have the prettiest wildflowers there, Anni! That is a sweet kitty. That last photo is really strange. A blow fish?
ReplyDeleteI like your feeders! So clever. You've got me thinking about maybe turning a pole lamp into a feeder. Yay!
