I've often said that too many people follow those in the profession of acting. Especially those that are politically inclined to follow those said actors/entertainers that work hours in the year portraying fictional characters and living from day to day in a fantasy world!! Well...I rest my case, I was sent this & had to laugh---95% of Hollywood and liberals are ignorant--as an example...
...when you realize most adults in the world still read the symbol "#" as "pound"... and they named the women's movement against sexual harassment #METOO.
Oh the irony and ignorance!

Corpus Christi has the distinction of being called "The Sparkling City by the Bay" And as I was walking along the shore near Bob Hall Pier the other morning, I came across this bird that seems to be saying...Poop on it!! The sign in smaller text above the marker number says to "keep it sparkling". Ha!! "Take that Corpus"!!!

It's been quite hot here by midday [in the low 90s], so I rarely get my targeted goal of step count before I force myself to turn around and head back to the car. I turn on the A/C first thing and leave the area only to drive to another spot in town after cooling off in the car. This particular day I stopped at Lakeview Park. And while walking around the lake the geese [attraction for the little kids to feed] were coming my way....They were honking the tune "Here we come...walkin' down the street, gettin' the funniest looks from...everyone we meet" as they crossed the bridge...Funny thing is....you woulda laughed if you saw me step aside as I gave them the right away. I've been bitten too many times by geese when it's breeding season....besides, I wanted to get photos of the promenade!!!

My deceased husband and brother-in-law loved to go fishing at Bob Hall pier. There were two geese with lots of ducks at our park. The geese disappeared. I wondered what happened to them. I'm thinking they were biting people so the city removed them. I can feel the coastal breeze when I read about your walks.
ReplyDeleteGeese CAN be nasty & mean. The breeze was pkeasant the 1st hour...but soon, the heat was on!
DeleteHello, love the heron and geese. The pier looks like a nice place to visit and watch the birds. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. I appreciate your comment and visit. Happy Saturday, enjoy your day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU Eileen!
Delete" #METOO." that is one big yikes there.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly CAN be!! But, I just found the concept kinda funny.
DeleteInteresting to see the Geese marching along, but the funniest is the Corpus Christi sign!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
I know...sparkling my feathered patootie!
DeleteGreat pictures! I love the sass of the goose in that last picture, captured perfectly. :-)
ReplyDeleteThey're sassy indeed!
DeleteHah, you are a little feisty today!!
ReplyDeleteJust in my nature sometimes. Who am I kiddin'? ALL the time!
DeleteThanks for the chuckle. Love the geese!
ReplyDeleteGood! Glad you found some humor here today Betty!
DeleteUsing hash tag symbol of pound sign very annoying. Sometimes you're the bird, sometimes you're the sign. I'll be the bird, thank you. The geese reminded me of a well-remembered nursery rhyme: "Goosey, Goosey Gander,
ReplyDeleteWhither shall I wander?................" Good shots but I still do not like geese.
Definitely...VERY annoying!! I wonder just WHO started this? Should be drawn & quartered! lol
DeleteYou brought back some sweet memories... only they were ducks! We would go to the park to feed the ducks as a child... if we were lucky the nasty geese would stay away...and then there were swans too!!
ReplyDeleteGood memories of the past!
DeleteThat corpus christi sign cracked me up I have a similar pic from down there with a seagull standing on a sign The geese pics are funny, the babies here really make the adults aggressive. I still say the #poundsign
ReplyDeleteYa, me too. The seagulls do like to 'mark' their territory.
DeleteWe see herons at the marina, but on occasion one will come by to fish from the floating logs surrounding our floating cabin. Love watching them put their skill to work. - Margy
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Margy!
DeleteI was reminded of the Royal Wedding with your geese promenade! :-)
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteInteresting pictures, thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGreat photographs of the geese Anni. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret
DeleteYou are too funny today! I am sick of Hollywood and the liberal media and agree with what you shared.
ReplyDeleteLove the goose parade!
