Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

Bon Voyage - Mexico

Erik, my son, drove down on the 18th from Houston to wish us a bon voyage. We had Starbucks and lunch at the Fisherman's Wharf with him.

...we boarded the ship...  And followed the Carnival Cruise Ship all the way.

Of course, being a morning person, I had to get a view of the first sun rise out on the water...

Our first stop over was Cozumel Mexico...

The night before we were all informed the excursions were all cancelled for our safety [just a week prior bombs were on excursion/passenger shuttle boats].  So, Sharon and I walked a bit then, hired a taxi to go to the "Caribbean Side" of the island...

...with a stop to watch tequila being made and sample of course---

...The Caribbean side of the island.

An historic lighthouse I had the cab driver pull off the road to take a photo.  We then headed to our destination for the day, some Mayan ruins. [photos of that coming in my next post]

...back aboard ship before setting sail to Grand Cayman, there was an art auction...

and an all male impromtu dance at pool side.  The judges were all female, and the only rules were the boys could not touch the judges, but the judges could touch the men if necessary..  lol

...the nighttime entertainment was classic  and classy in every way.

...returning to our cabin late, after dinner and the entertainment,  the cabin boy used my sunglasses and made a poochie out of towels for us.  My personal 'favorite side' was the BACK SIDE...

...still more to come.

  3. What a great way to watch the sunrise. Nothing to obstruct the view. Looks like you had a lot of fun. I would be needing some more towels because I wouldn't want to take that dog apart.

  9. Gosh, I would think they would give you a little more space between ships to make for a more interesting view of the world! :)
