Shortly after the calm sea on our cruise the entire trip, after being home about a week, I decided to go walking along the Gulf Shore at Packery Channel. The wind was fierce, the sea rough...
[these are not black and white photos...just a gray day]

...in a small alcove, out of the wind a crab was feeding!

What an angry sea! A good close-up of the crab.
ReplyDelete'angry' is a very good description!
Deletethat is amazing for the gulf to look like that. i have never seen waves that high in the gulf, but then when the weather is bad, i don't go out there.. i love every single photo, they look like they might wet my keyboard

DeleteHello, that is rough looking water. Neat sighting of the crab. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank You dear Eileen!
DeleteHow did you keep from getting blown away while you were out there taking pictures? I imagine that bird in the second photo down on the left is flapping his wings double time.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't easy staying upright in places.
DeleteHow about the crab? Any chance it could end in a pot?? :)
ReplyDelete...and drawn butter!
DeleteThat is a huge crab claw! And a turbulent sea, for sure. :-)
ReplyDeleteyep...to both
DeleteAwesome shots of the angry sea. Kind of matches the angry look on that crab with huge claws! Wouldn't want to bump into him in a dark alley. :)
ReplyDeleteThey DO look cranky...always
DeleteI feel the strength of the wind whipping the sea and the spray filled with sand is making my legs sting. Wonderful and exhilarating feeling!
ReplyDeleteIt is/was exhilarating - & wore me out walking in it.
DeleteWow! I would have thought these were black and white photos! What an angry sea!
ReplyDeleteIt was, but I've seen it worse.
DeleteThe sea is WILD!!! Your photos really show all the excitement of the waves. You can spot absolutely anything!! The crab looks so well hidden. He is maybe a Blue Crab?
