HAPPY HOODIE HOO DAY!
According to last evening's local newscast, and the weather segment, since January 1st of 2018, Corpus Christi has had FOUR days of sun!! The rest of the days...over fifty; the sky has been overcast and gray. I know I've said this many times now, but I really need the bright sun to come out and stay for a while! To show you some of the days....tho intermittent with some sunshine now and then, I share the moody sky. Starting with the total eclipse of the moon on January 31st...

Seagulls taking off over Oso Bay - North Shore Pier

Patchy Fog on the Pollywog Trail - Looking out from the bay toward the Gulf of Mexico

Jet contrail behind the silhouetted tree - Semi truck in the fog...climbing the Harbor Bridge

Mackerel Sky [clouds]...embiggen it and notice the plane! - Filtered sunlight in the park!
...and the forecast for the next few days, I need to acquire some gills to survive; or so it seems!!! HEAVY RAIN
Lovely photos Anni, especially the one of the moon. I hope the sun starts becoming a more frequent visitor to your area soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's raining right now...no sun for me!
DeleteOH what glorious photos!!! Magnificent!!! Thank you! Wishing you well!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU Cathy!
DeleteSuch gorgeous photos! I know how you love the sun! So does my Amber! I’m totally weird because I love wet, gray, cloudy days! We just came back from Galveston and it was so foggy the cruise ships were being held up and not able to come into port!
ReplyDeleteErik, my son, is like you...he likes the inclement weather.
DeleteWe have been lucky so far here in central PA.... no major snow... in the 70's tomorrow, lots of sun... cannot wait until Spring! Lovely atmospheric photos once again. Thanks..
ReplyDeleteHappy hoodie-hoo day!
Deletei share your desire for sunshine and am not a fan of moody skies, but we need rain so bad here.. about 3 or 4 inches in the past 10 months. send some rain and i will send you sunshine. we are having record heat... 86 and 87
ReplyDeleteWell...I'll try...it's raining here right now
DeleteHope you get that sunshine soon.I'm enjoying it';s warming rays through the window, even as I'm typing this. The grey skies can make for some good pictures, but so does sunshine.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteI need sunshine too. Sunshine and color. Love all the photos even without the sun
ReplyDeleteIt's been a crazy 3 months here
DeleteYour photos are lovely, even without the sun. We had some sun yesterday, but today it has rained all day long!
ReplyDeleteI wish we could have a day with blue sky!
DeleteMore rain for us, too. The next five days have us under a flood watch. Perhaps I will take the canoe to work tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe canoe may be the only way to go!
DeleteWith all the fog, drizzle, and cloudy skies, makes me wonder what the summer holds for us. If it will be unusual too. Old farmers and ranchers wish for it to be rainy.
ReplyDeleteI understand the need for rain when you have crops!
