A new "Hoodie"!


During the Christmas break, while waiting for others to wake up, being alone and trying to remain quiet for the late sleepers, I took out my sketch pad...



...and after the first outlining, I decided to try my hand at doing a colored pencil sketch instead of the lead pencils I usually use. The most recent sketch is of a male Hooded Merganser.     We have those mergansers here and you really show them in closeup! We call them dippers as they disappear under water and then come up in another place away from where they went under. Fun to watch! Good sketch!
