The Good, The Bad & Not Ugly!

The Good...

Stop the World – I Want to Get Off

During rush hour, one accident on the freeway can snarl traffic to a complete standstill!! "Stop the world I want to get off". It has become a satirical response to all who are given a bad situation in life,  Eventually there's bound to be something ...going from bad to good. As I waited, and inched my way until, finally, a clearing in the traffic jam, I saw this. All can't be bad!!

The Bad...

Somebody Done Somebody Wrong

When I saw this in a drainage ditch while out walking the Wetlands, I wondered....did a child do this, or was it a parent who has out stepped their disciplinarian boundaries by showing them "I can do this to your child...You'd better behave"...what story lies behind this scene? I shudder to think. As I walked on, words to this song by BJ Thomas came to mind..."Hey, won't ya play another somebody done somebody wrong song."

...and the not ugly!

There's a Perfect World Shining in Your Eyes

All in reference to:
"The Good The Bad and the Ugly" [movie]
"Stop the World, I Want to Get Off" [movie, broadway play]
"Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song" [song, by BJ Thomas]
"There's a Perfect World Shining in Your Eyes" [song, Lion King II movie]

  3. I love this post.. and the palms with the sunshine is most definitely the GOOD.. love it and that goat is adorable.. the songs fit perfectly and now I have the done somebody wrong song in my ear worm and soon bob will to. the doll is a little scary and there are many stories that would fit her, all of them not so good . I am trying to think of a GOOD scenario for the doll... hummmm... thinking.....can't think of one.. thought of the child got a brand new bigger better prettier doll and tossed it... that fits with today mentality but is not Good.

  4. Oh my goodness, what a sweet face to close your post with. I agree with you on those road accidents and like a zillion other reasons that the traffic gets backed up. If more folks concentrated on their driving right! As for that dear sweet baby doll, I'm hoping that she was left by accident and some sweet little sad girl came looking for this poor lost dolly, but then that what if some big bad boy decided to play a trick on say his little sister...oh I hope not!

  5. The goat is looking straight up at you! I love how their eyes are rectangles. This looks like a nice and fairly new doll. Let's hope a little girl just forgot about it. But what would a little girl be doing there?

  12. Matthew: We were lucky. WE had a huge limb in the top of a maple fall down in the middle of itself. Our tree guy will have to finish cutting the limb and check out the tree. The horrible wind blew up some shingles. We had a leak in the freshly painted ceiling in B's train room. It is about the size of a dinner plate. Roofer was here Friday. B will kilz the ceiling and repaint. At least it is fresh paint and will match. Madi did not seem to notice the wind too much it was very gusty. She fared better than we did during the short power outage from 6pm to 1 am. LOL Oh to be a cat.
Thanks for stopping by and hugs all around
