Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

Life's A Beach!!

I've had these photos for quite a while, and the other day I began cleaning out my photo folders where I store them for safe keeping. Take another walk with me? This time, what I found while walking on the sandy surface at low tide around Whitecap Beach. Some of you understand everything and anything shows up when walking the beaches, trash, shoes [a woman's sandal had barnacles growing on it -[next to last image just before the jellyfish], sunglasses with barnacles too, driftwood, even WHOLE TREES. On this particular day in June, along the seawall and hotel rooms, youngsters were making use of chalk and drawing flowers, horses, butterflies and more to dazzle our eyes with color! Yep, anything. So, with the photos here today, nothing should surprise you...

  1. I love the chalk drawings and the sand castles the best! I enjoy seeing beach pictures because we do not live anywhere near a beach.

    1. The beach is a good place to go year 'round, but in the summer when the bird life is nearly nil with nesting, etc. I go often.

      Thanks Ginny

  3. I really like going along on your walks. It's a shame I can't include all those steps in my daily count :)
Love the sidewalk art and sand castles. That sandal is almost unrecognizable. I guess it's been on it's own for a long time

    1. Yep, I too had to take a 'double take' on the sandal myself. I bet I would have really liked 'em. LOL

  4. That makes me miss going to the beach! (we used to go to Maine every summer when I was growing up). I think that sandal has to be the coolest thing I've ever seen. Wow!

    1. Other than the slime and barnacles, those sandals were something I would wear.

    1. Me too....litter bugs. Around here, I imagine a lot of the beach trash is from those out on the water, deep sea fishing or yachting...throwing their trash overboard.

  7. This was a fun summer excursion. I like the chalk art anywhere I see it, and I had to study the pictures for a long time before I could recognize a sandal! Good job finding the essence of summer in this post. :-)

  14. That is a wonderful beach collection Anni. I love collecting (by camera only) and as you say beaches are the best places for doing so.

Your wonderful header shot makes me want to grab it right off my computer screen, put it in a frame and hang it. But I would never do such a thing. you are so talented!!

  17. Yep! That's the beach. I still use the Expedition watch I found in the surf one year. It even had barnacles attached to the broken leather strap. Love the picture of the gull and the footprint in the sand.

I couldn't believe someone driving that car on the beach...the sand pitting the finish! But, guess he was enjoying his day.
