SONG title: STONE HEARTS by Cher
Listen to the song at this link
I ask the river for a sign

In a dream, we go on together
How long is love supposed to shine
In a dream, diamonds are forever
But you and I, hurt together, hurt alone
Don't you sometimes
Wish your heart was a heart of stone

Mercy, mercy, wish your heart was a heart of stone
With a heart of stone, you'll be well protected
Don't you sometimes
Wish your heart was made of stone

PHOTO CREDIT: River - Nueces River near 1-37 LaBonte park [where the fresh water ends and salt water from the bay begins...supposedly. For me it's far far from the 'delta' and that would be where I'd say it ends/begins; what do I know?]
Rock photos are two small stones I turned over while cleaning out the landscaping rock in the back yard some weeks ago, and the song came to mind because of the 'heart shapes' in the stones.

Nice photos! They do go right along with the song...it led me to thoughts having a heart of stone and then how a river can even wear down rocks and...see, I go on these tangents every so often and, this time, you inspired it. Now my head hurts. LOL
ReplyDeleteHey Hootin'.
ReplyDeleteToo funny about Trump. And let's not forget about our fav Ms. Queen of Alaska who, of course, had to pipe in. heeheehee
Enjoy your day!
Those are cool rocks - and the song goes with them perfectly!
ReplyDeleteher music has never been my favorite but she is so talented. And boy does she ever keep herself in good shape.
ReplyDeleteLove the song and all of your photos.
ReplyDeleteYou do find some very interesting things to go along with the songs.
Hugs
Leave it to you to find stones with heart shapes in them! lol Fabulous!! I've always enjoyed Cher's music and this song is no exception. I remember how much I loved watching Sonny & Cher on tv when they had their show...now I'm showing my age:-)
ReplyDeleteThat picture I had on my Easter post was found on the internet. Isn't it adorable with the faerie sized church and little bunnies all around?! I'm tempted to create something similar in my faerie garden, once I can get started working on it. This is the 4th day it's been pouring rain so everything is pretty soaked. Wish I could send some to you!! xoxo
I think it's pretty awesome that turning over rocks inspired such a post....I really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteHi Anni, followed you over from Boonies, just wanting to say hey! and wish you a great weekend. I love what you've done with Stone Hearts!
ReplyDeletePerfect, Anni. What wonderful rocks! Absolutely inspiring rocks!
ReplyDeleteYour header is a hoot, and your new profile picture is very flattering. I like it a lot.

Amazing find. How did the shapes get imprinted, do you know?
ReplyDeleteI actually downloaded the song 'Beyond the sea" for my post, but there was an error, so I gave it up. Maybe I should just do what you did - link to the song.
Oh yes, want to let you know I've also started a meme. It is called Mission Quite Possible. Come and join in the fun.
