This area of town goes around Oso Bay and circles to the college campus and further into the Naval Air Station. Or...circling to the left, it goes along the shoreline into the downtown area some 10 miles or so. While driving, I spotted some white pelicans soaring above. Through the car's windshield I took the top photo, and then outside the open window, the bottom photo. Enlarging them will help. Much more detail [especially the last photo]. As always, by clicking the image my photos and links open in a new window/tab.

I'm going way out on a limb here...Do those Pelicans have blue tips on their wings? It sure does look like it. Well now that I have stared at the enlarged photo it only looks like the second one in the bottom picture does but I can't really tell. Awesome photos.
ReplyDeleteStunning shots.
ReplyDeleteThom...the color on the wing tips is black. Sorry...no blue. Go have another cocktail!! [snort....kidding!]
ReplyDeleteWow, the pelicans look like they're off on a fishing vacation.

ReplyDeleteYa gotta try it, Anni!! Unless you don't like banana bread, gingerbread, zucchini bread, or pumpkin bread - it's fun to serve it to persnickety eaters and find they like it!

“Then rubicund surely is red.
And then I suppose,
If I named a rose,
Its color would go to my head!”
