LONG COLD WINTER = MASSIVE SPRING CLEANUP!!

Just some frogs in dire need of some repair work. I'm thinking on terms of tossing 'em and getting new ones sometime soon. But, they're so cute, tho. Don't have the heart...maybe when they start to really decay and fall apart, then I will.

I just burst out laughing when I read this one!!! Of course, I had to scan it and send it to Erik who is Republican registered. I knew he'd get a kick out of its reference to the "donkey"....LOLOLOL....

ReplyDeleteOh I am still laughing on this one. You are just so stinkin cute. Blame the donkey. Okay...Ha! Ha! Ha! Love it...
Now these little frogs can't help they are weathered Annie. I would take a brush, scrub them a little, get a can of green spray paint. Spray their bodies, repaint their eyes, and they are good to go. They are still good. DO NOT throw out those frogs. They are just to darn cute I tell you.

Those frogs are so cute. Looks like a lot of repair needed. How long have you had them. I used to be a collector of all sorts. One of the hobby I inherited from my late Dad was collecting matches, from all over. I have over 10,000 matches now.I hope one of my daughters will want to carry on the tradition . lol

Yes, I agree about the massive cleanup, but I do enjoy giving everything a "face life". My outdoor stautary is in need of paining and repair, too. I'll put it on the "I'll get around tuit" list! Blessings, Kathy

Do not throw away the frogs, if they were mine I would make the big one in the back pearlygrey-
the tiny one, verdigris-frog-green -the big one in the front I would keep white,(maybe with some spots in another color)- and the last one to the left, let him be lightbraun with darker spots--all eyes black and put a white ring around the black eyes as real frogs has!--(Use some cheep paint that can be scrubbed away again if it is not satisfying)
Try those three colors on a paper first, you'll see how fine it will look amongst the leaves and flowers.
That of course, is just a suggestion of mine.

ReplyDeleteLove your 'Easter' decor ... the ducks are darling. As for the frogs, they're adorable too. I'd have trouble getting rid of them if they lived in MY yard ... though they might not last long because 'inlander tourists' tend to 'snag' souvenirs when they visit the beach. I've always enjoyed B.C. I've shared 'critters' at Happily Retired Gal and Small Reflections ... just because.

ReplyDeleteYou aren't kidding about the mess winter has left behind. Our entire house is covered in a layer of yuck. But at least warmer weather is here now and I'm very grateful for that!
