SHOW AND TELL

Below is what I received yesterday in snail mail. The Sister's Day gift from...none other than my "sissy". It's the sweetest book ever. When I was showing Bud, I mentioned that there is a couple in particular that really 'fits into our lives' as sisters...the one [2nd down on the right column] where it's two girls in a tree --we two HAD a tree house!!! We called it "Picnic Mount"...the tree was on a hill, by a creek. We'd take crackers and cheese and juice up there together and just munch and giggle and tell secrets!! The 2nd one that is 'so us'...is the third one down on the left hand column...where we are under blankets, telling stories! And this is the ironic part, when my sister called me yesterday ---by the way she was still crying about the gift I made her, and she said Al, her hubby, was too!! She said to me through sobs "Anni this is the best gift you've ever given me, ever!" Anyway, she had to tell Al that this book, and particularly this page [the 3rd down on left] that Anni told one story she'll never forget...where I had her so scared she couldn't sleep that night. The monster outside our windows!! Now get this, when I saw the page and read it----I had to tell BUD!! the same saga. Loved it!!! Besides the sweet Sister and Me book, she had in the package for me, a pretty, sparkly, bauble necklace which I wore all day -----------

FLASH FICTION 55

"Take Pleasure 101"....

The firmness I caressed in my hand.
As I rubbed, the tip turned a soft sheer blue.
I blew gently; teasing.
Lowering myself, the blanket of jade was like Spring turf;
cool, firm as slate!!
I then stroked it through my fingers, back and forth...
On cue, I whispered:
"Eight ball in the corner pocket"!!

    Glad you're feeling better - be glad you're not here during our annual Spring Break snow storm! It's pretty, but not desirable after several days of delightful spring weather. Good moisture though - gotta look at the positive!

    I'm hoping to get a post done today - been short on words this week for some reason.

  54. How very sweet that you and your sister are so close. :) I have a brother, but I was 17 when he was born so we don't have lots of fun moments we shared growing up. We actually have more fun now that he's older. :)
    I'm glad you liked my Easter tree, it was fun to put together. (especially with my 8 year old little helper, he loves to do that sort of thing!)
    Have a great weekend!
