I'm a sucker for bargain basement prices....!!
So off to the used book store he went. I check out the clearance shelves, and soon got bored. Since Hobby Lobby is so near, I take my leave, leaving Bud at his element...perusing the history books ...while I walk and check out the January clearance items at Marshall's [didn't find anything worth having], then over to Hobby Lobby...there I see that all their Christmas stuff is 90% off!! At that price, there usually isn't anything but the chipped and broken merchandise. But I found three pillar candles that will work perfectly for Valentine's day. At 90% off, regularly $4 a piece,...making all three candles the total sum of $1.30!!! Whoa!! But, while I was in line waiting to purchase the said items, the lady in front of me had a goodly sized basket filled with good stuff. I watched...she placed the sweetest thing on the counter. I wanted one too. I asked her where she found it...she directed me to the Valentine aisle...I found it...went back and bought THAT too!
For $2.99 I bought I ♥ U cookie cutters! For Valentine's Day. Guess what Bud's gonna get for Valentine's Day? Yep, sugar cookies!!

Then, when Bud caught up with me, we decided to go to the larger mall to walk around and get some 'exercise' window shopping. I had remembered while emailing Mary about walking the mall...that I had seen in the window of Forever XXI's store on a Sunday, when the mall was still closed...a cameo necklace on one of their mannequins. Their jewelry is always inexpensive, and some are unique and fun to wear. Tho, I rarely go in the store since the clothes styles are a bit 'young' for me and wearable mostly for working gals, I did go in there that very day to see if they still had the cameo...they did, I bought!! It's not genuine cameo shell...like I like to have, but this will go well with a pair of jeans and a blazer jacket atop a turtle neck or plain, unadorned blouse. It too was a bargain...$6.00 with tax.- - -<><><>- - -

Nightclubbing is a subject that seems to lend itself to dark fiction--as in le club Nosferatu. Love the stuff in your artwork links. Cheers.

The cameo looks very nice ! I liked real jewelry when I was 20 or 30, now I like the things which are fashion and that nobody has the idea to cut my fingers to get my rings or my neck for a cameo, lol !

Nice things you found! I always hunt for Hobby Lobby's 90% off aisle! But like you say, most of the stuff is broken and chipped. I did get a great buy on a rooster there that his comb was broken off. i bought some not bake clay and fixed and painted it . . . you'd never know : ))
