For Ruby Tuesday today I thought I'd show you one of the garden gnomes in our rock garden. He's one of four, but he's the only one that has the red hat. And, he's the largest of the four in the group, so he's the 'fatherly' figure of them all. He rules the roost, like a rooster...keeping them all in line...literally.

Well as you know I went to the University of Arizona and remember those hot days. I don't miss them one iota I tell ya. I like autumn real well, almost as much as I do spring. Love the RT photo. Excellent my friend. Have a great week :) Aloha
ReplyDeleteShoot i forgot to mention the new header. Wonderful my friend. Love the look :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, I like your new header.
ReplyDeleteI love the heat and humidity of summer and can't wait for it to get hot again.
ReplyDeleteYour gnome certainly has a benign fatherly air...I'm sure he has no trouble keeping the others in check.
Hi Anni. I am cheated as some of your new look doesn't come up for me... lots of blue square ? marks. I think I have had this trouble before, so not to worry, it may come back soon. I love the way you change your header frequently.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have Labor Day over here, but I guess it celebrates something for you all over there.
I love you sweet gnome!
Love Granny
Morning Hootin! I have always wanted to see Arizona ...is there a best time?
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon as we finished cleaning out the garage of about 5 years worth of junk~ it was clear how much faster time goes...
I've taken the decision to move so many times, it feels good to have made the decision not to move any more. Just hope I stick to it :-)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I think there's a problem with your link on HoT.
big decision- your header perfect - the link is not working good to come to your post from heads or tails - don't know if its me or not
ReplyDeleteAnthony & i beati Thanks for the heads up on the Mr. Linky error! I went back and fixed the link.
ReplyDeleteand you just keep on building those lovely memories dear anni! by the sounds of it, the move was juuuust right for you. wonder if we will ever move... we've been here for, yikes, maybe 20 years already????? but it must mean we're happy, right? right!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a good weekend and some special time with your son. Time does fly by when you're older like us. I remember how slow it passed when I was a child and looking forward to some event. I like to think time passes faster now because we're so happy. It was a year this weekend since we closed on this house. We have loved living here. Honey Bear said he enjoyed this garden better than any he had ever planted. There is so much I would like to do. I spend a lot of time on the computer and with my nose in a book. Reading has always been a joy to me.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't started Fall decorating. I did get out my Fall napkins and put them on the table. I found some neat napkin rings at Walmart. Also, have my Fall kitchen towels out. I changed my desktop wallpaper to a Fall scene.
Happy day to you,
Mama Bear
Time does start to fly doesn't it. I can still remember being 14 and at my Great Grandparents, to me the days dragged; but it wasn't long before I realized that for them the days were filled with all the little things and just flew by. I'm somewhere in between now and wondering how I'll cope when life speeds up even more.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - love the new blog look!

Good Morning Anni, I am so glad that you had a wonderful weekend but you are so right... The time flies by so fast... Doesn't seem fair does it!
ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))

I don't think I could ever live in Arizona. I too need seasons. I always say that I am going to retire to Wisconsin, but time will only tell if that is true. Have a great Wednesday! :-)
ReplyDeleteI also noticed the new header right away very pretty clean simple and gets the viewers attention! Love your garden Gnome he is a great RT subject! Have a great RT!
ReplyDeleteFall is such a beautiful time here in Indiana but I hate the winters. What a big decision you made! I would hate to think of packing up this house. We have too much junk. 25 years worth! I posted pictures with my Nashville post if you want to take a look.
ReplyDeleteThe years really do seem to be going faster. This summer just flew by and I can't believe it's Fall! Glad you were able to enjoy your time with Erik. I like the new header!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. I can remember as a child wondering if I'd ever grow up. Now I wonder if I'll ever stop. The days do move more quickly now. Stay cool and have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had such a great time with Erik.
ReplyDeleteI have been to Arizona a couple of times (not counting driving through on the way to California and stopping at the Grand Canyon). We spent a week there with Kristen when she was at Remuda Ranch in Wickenburg for anorexia treatment. It was beautiful there on the high desert, but down in the city I couldn't breathe. I loved Sedona and that area. But I love my four seasons - even winter.
Anni,
ReplyDeleteGlad to ready our post today. It sounds like you and Bud had a great time with Erik. Playing cards and games is a lot of fun. The boys and I do that more in the winter.
Fall is in the air here and yesterday when we were out we saw that some leaves were beginning to turn. I love autumn, but not the winter that comes afterward. However, the apples are beginning to ripen and the fragrance of fall is in the air.
Missed you over the weekend but glad you guys could spend some fun times together. Have a great week.
Blessings,
Mary
PS. Like your new look
ReplyDeleteI hope you consulted the gnome before you moved!
ReplyDeleteIs he related to the Travelocity guy?
ReplyDeleteCute shot!
I collect Gnomes myself. :)
Anni, I spent some time in Arizona October-November time Frame and found it very nice but when they started putting Christmas lights on the cacti I said, "Get me outa here, I wanna go back to New York and the cold weather... Of course these days I hate the heat and the cold. Oh well... Nice Ruby Tuesday post and a great gnome with a RED hat! I love your new header as I love all your headers! :)
ReplyDelete☼¨`*•.♥HOW CUTE IS THAT ELF♥.•*¨`☼

See ya!☺!
Love your new header! The decision to move can't have been an easy one. I love Texas, even though sometimes it feels like we live in a sauna, too. I visited Arizona last summer, and it is HOT there!
ReplyDeleteI still say they took away a couple of hours a day and that's why the days are going by so fast! lol I agree with you, the older we get the faster the years seems to go by...sheesh!
ReplyDeleteI would love to move somewhere where the winters aren't harsh like we have here. I mean, I love snow around Christmas time but that's it. I think I should just move to your area, what do you say?? hehe
Sounds like you had a great time with Erik this past weekend:-) I'm really missing my boys...Shawn hasn't been here since the week before Christmas last year and Corey has only been here 3 times this year. Life is busy for them and I don't like it one bit! lol
Your garden gnome is such a cutie and I'm sure he does a good job keeping the others in line! lol I was just out watering my faerie garden and it's really loving the summer weather we're having right now:-) xoxo
he's such a kind looking gnome :)
ReplyDeleteHi Anni, very cute little gnome, he looks like the boss! Love your new header, very welcoming. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat red pic! But what is the purpose of gnomes? Just for decoration?
ReplyDeleteHi Anni, I like your new blog header but I liked the marshes along the coast a whole lot better. :-) Don't put the old one back just for me but if people get to vote, my vote is to put it back.
ReplyDeleteYour little RED gnome Santa? Does he stay out all year or do you have already for this Christmas? Just wondering.
Corpus is NEVER HOT. It might be hot by the thermometor but with the breeze always blowing it never seems hot. Especially when you try to sweat a little.
Happy RT, I'd be happy if you dropped in to see my new granddaughter again. She is eight weeks old now, seven in the picture.
..
Oh Annie, you little devil you, you have another new header. I love it, absolutely love it. I never know what I am going to find when I pop over here. Today I am loving that little gnome, as I have several in my yard. They are so fun and fancy free, and the grandkids love moving them around to see if I notice. I have something for you on my blog. Please stop by honey. I love the post. Love your new look. Love the blog. Always love to come by. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry
ReplyDeletehe's adorable!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little behind in getting to all the HOTS this week... Thank you for sharing your decision. Making a move is always hard, but to leave HOT AZ... I can surely understand... I used to live in Phoenix. Suntan walking across college campus to my first class in the morning. crazy
ReplyDeleteHi Anni,
ReplyDeleteJust catching up with you here. I enjoyed your post and all the pictures- especially your Ruby Tuesday guy! :)
