PHOTO HUNT 2009 THEMES
GARBAGE
The prompt this week for Photo Hunt is garbage. GARBAGE? Ohhhhh, I so wanted to go to the neighborhood Video Store and go in the 'back room' to get photos of THAT kinda garbage, but alas, not my forté------not even for the sake of blogging. So, y'all will have to settle for this photo....

[and look closer, garbage flew out...onto the street as the city's crew drove by --a huge flattened piece of carboard/box. Geez. Of course, with my issues, I had to walk over with my latex surgical gloves [that I use for staining and painting things] and pick it up. Who KNOWS where it's been.] rofl
...and then, to change the gawd awful subject...I took a walk away from the rancid smells of said garbage, to breathe in the fresh salt air with --------
<><><>
----a walk on the beach...I'm waving to y'all while combing the beach for shells, trying to keep my white bibs from getting too soaked and my pink sandals from getting too sandy. LOL

[but, think about it, that garbage on the street just may have been cleaner than the sea, right? Oh well, if the birds and sea life can live in it...I can survive a few hours of it myself. Ahhhhhhhh, blissful]

Sherry so graciously passed this award to me. I am truly honored that she thought of me with her gift. She's an amazing blogger, if you haven't visited with her before, do so when you can. I thank you dear Sherry, from the bottom of my heart!

I love the pictures, you are so darn cute my friend. I love you.
ReplyDeleteYou are just as cute as a button. That is so you. What excellent pictures and a great post. It's so cool how you go from land to the sea. Wonderful my friend :)
ReplyDeleteLove those beach photos! You look so cute in those bibs!
ReplyDeleteI love the angle of your bin photo...it makes me a bit squeezy if I look at it for longer, though :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the beach in bin-proximity looks lovely.
Sadly, the sea's so dirty in Hong Kong I've been completely reluctant to go into it. Have enjoyed walking on the beaches but no way am I swimming in the sea here though I know people who have done so and miraculously survived!
ReplyDeleteDirty trash is very yucky! I prefer to see your cute bibs and pink shoes!
ReplyDeleteLove those bibs! Around here I wear them for a different reason.....ahem.....shoveling horse poop.......ahem..... Your pictures are so nice, I just love the beach and all that it involves. You always have such interesting posts!
ReplyDeleteIt was a marvelous entry, Anni, even if that first shot made me dizzy because of the angle ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Nice take on the theme. So much cinemaq is garbage of coursse! Happy weekend
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the bin! I was thinking the sea was welcome relief from the theme until I read the last bit....
ReplyDeleteYou always have a great idea for the theme. Thanks for sharing Anni...Take care and have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the theme :) I too would rather be walking along the beach then thinking of stinky garbage! Happy photo hunting :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful picture of you walking on the beach... Loved your post today as usual...
ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))
Donna
Great photohunt for the week!
ReplyDeleteCome check out my garbage.
nice looking bin.
ReplyDeleteyou look pretty in that beach pink, anni!
Beach pictures are definitively better in all points of view !
ReplyDeleteOur garbage is in plastic bags so it happens from time to time that a dog opens the bag and I can collect the whole stinking mess from the street where it is all spread over !
I can't stand it when the garbage trucks drop trash in the street and yards too. Great pix for the theme.
ReplyDeleteI loved your pictures today, Anni. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Anni with lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you.
Ok, Ok, I am struggling here.... You LIVE close enough to the beach to go out your door on FOOT and walk the sandy shore?????? OMG....... I am turning green......... and I will need to go and pray that my envy does not overwhelm me.......hahahahh BUT...... OK......the picture is too cute and hope you have a wonderful sandy beach kind of day!
ReplyDeleteOh what a great pic of a walk on the beach. I would love to take a walk and feel and smell the fresh salt air. It's so hot here. Great pics. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOur neighbors are moving and they had many vehicles from the packers around on garbage day. She pushed the large bins, two of them, out further so the arm from the truck could reach. What did they do? They tried to pick up both at once and dropped one, leaving garbage all across the street. She called the city and they tried to say it was her fault. Fortunately there were several witnesses to what happened and they did clean it up.
ReplyDeleteMy construction trash or garbage is up.
I wanted to take a photo of all the tabloids but felt funny about walking into a store with my camera. And I'm not about to buy them! Very creative trash can photo.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be walking on a beach looking for shells! Lucky you!
My garbage is here.
congratulations on the award--loved your garbage post. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteAloha Anni,
ReplyDeleteLove your photos..and your blog design. Great take for this week's PH. See you again next week for another PH challenge.
Enjoy your weekend!
Cindy O
Love the white bibs and pink sandals! Just wondering how far you have to drive to get to the beach. Looks great, and am not thinking of the "stuff" in the water!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice photo of you on the beach, Anni. I love the beach but it's a bit dodgy swimming in beaches here in the summer. The on shore wind brings blue bottles...stinging jellyfish and of course, there are the sharks. However, it's nice to walk along the beach as long as we watch out for said blue bottles washed up on the shore.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like me...I pick up garbage when I see it. Such as after yobbos who leave their empty takeaway cartons, wrappers, plastic drink bottles, etc on train station or bus stop seats. I hate to think what their homes are like...
Great post, Anni - I know I've done the same on garbage day and recycling day. I hate those automated trucks - the guys never get out to make sure they've left nothing behind.
ReplyDeleteMine took a bit more personal direction...
Anni,
ReplyDeleteI can't stand garbage on the street either and if our crews drop anything they don't pick it up. I doubt they can bend over. lol
Love the photo of you in the white bib overalls. They must be really comfortable. Glad you got out to enjoy a walk on the beach.
Have a great evening.
Blessings,
Mary
PS. Love your little mermaid. What a treasure.
ReplyDeleteI definitely like the ocean pic better than the garbage one.
ReplyDeleteBut the bin is empty...
ReplyDeleteA walk on the beach is a great way to recover from touching garbage! LOL
ReplyDeleteto be living in an area like yours is great :)that bin actually looks empty....
ReplyDeletehave a nice day!
Although your bin is very nice (!) I prefer you at the seaside!
ReplyDeleteThis was a tough topic, wasn't it? Loved the picture of you on the beach.
ReplyDeleteYou always have such a great blog!
One of my favourite past times is walking on the beach but it is not as close as yours, lucky thing.
ReplyDeleteCan you help me with a blogging question? When you got to Photo Hunt and leave a comment with a link to your post, how do you link it in the comment box?
