Today, it's more or less a conglomerate of thoughts and projects......

Anyway, I started.
I went out and

Well, to start off, I began the project before we went out to breakfast. Around 6 in the morning. I worked on it...going through the hundreds of pages [all with about 6 or more photos on each page/two sides] and then would pull one out that I really liked, and scanned it....cut and pasted onto a 1440/900 blank image...added words and a little flower trim around each....then saved them in a file titled IrenesDVD...I worked and edited the music to fit the images...took out some, added new ones...edited the music again to fit....you get the picture.
I got up to age 7 just around 4 PM yesterday and had to quit. My eyes burned. LOL And she's forty!?!!! This is gonna be a long project. But it'll be fun. I hope it turns out well. Just think....
When Irene's boys see the DVD of her...naked in the tub....they'll have some great blackmail material!!! Don't you think?

Have you ever heard a song and then it runs through your mind all day. Even weeks? There is a song on the A T * T commercials in our area [don't know if it's nationwide or not] that has a young girl and a guy....the guy sends photos of him as he travels around the world [like Paris & London] and the song...boy howdy the song! I've fallen in love with it. I'm humming it and singing it a LOT....I think possibly maybe I'm falling in LOVE with the song.
Well, to be honest, I've never heard the song before until the commercial. It has such a nice tone, and the words will melt any woman's heart. At least it's that way for this ol'
The first line is, as above, "I think possibly maybe I'm falling for you".....
It's written and recorded by Landon Pigg.
And the title of the song is Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop [You Tube Video]
It's just a song that really seems great to me. It hit me....
I think that possibly, maybe I’m fallin’ for you
Yes, there’s a chance that I’ve fallen quite hard over you
I’ve seen the paths that your eyes wander down
I wanna come to
I think that possibly, maybe I’m fallin’ for you
No one understands me quite like you do
Through all of the shadowy corners of me
I never knew just what it was
About this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
I never knew just what it was
About this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
I think that possibly, maybe I’m fallin’ for you
Yes, there’s a chance that I’ve fallen quite hard over you
I’ve seen the waters that make your eyes shine
Now I’m shinin’ too
Because, oh because, I’ve fallen quite hard over you
If I didn’t know you, I’d rather not know
If I couldn’t have you, I’d rather be alone
I never knew just what it was
About this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
I never knew just what it was
About this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
All of the while
All of the while
It was you
Another commercial is Michelin Tires....that song has eluded me too. Tho I've heard the song before many a times...I like that one too. And can't think of the title. Will have to Google that one sometime after I hear it again. [later: while I was thinking about it....I did go to Google and searched. The song is Never Gonna Let You Go by Sergio Mendez]
Here is the cutest 30 second You Tube...if you like housecats like I do....
Do songs ever linger in your mind and thoughts like they do for me?

Then, talking baseball. I tellya this season sucks. [Houston? On the bottom of the division's standings...very mediocre if even that good!] My other two 'home' teams...Colorado? The team's manager just got fired....they're bottom or next to the bottom of their division. And the Arizona Diamondbacks? What a hoot!!!! Their manager got fired recently also...and they're right down there in the baseball gutter this year too. What gives? Last year....excellent for each team mentioned above...this year? Why it's like the whole menagarie is ready for the china to break...they're not playing ball!!!! [I won't say anything about the umpires this year either....but, of course they're always controversial]
animated musical note found here
I have done some of these in the past, they are great fun to do, but as you are finding... very time-consuming. I look forward to seeing it posted soon on your blog. That is the intention is it not?
ReplyDeleteLove that hospital birth photo!
Love Granny
Hi Dear Anni. I have added photo's to dvds but havent tryed adding music..and also copy a few dvds for personnal use,. adding music would be very time cosumming. love thepretty baby photo..
ReplyDeleteThany you for the lovely comments you left me ...
I use Windows free download called photo story to do these. They are fun, but I have only done vacations. This is quite a project, but what a keepsake when you finish it!
ReplyDeleteGranny I probably won't put it anywhere on the 'net. Once it's on a DVD, it'll just get shipped to Irene for a "gift" for her. There will be hundreds of photos from all the albums and the finished result will probably be at least an hour's running time.
ReplyDeleteThis was cool sweetie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful newborn! That will be absolutely priceless and I do admire your ability to do these kinds of things, plus your persistence to finish the job. She will be overwhelmed. Does she read your blog?
ReplyDeleteAs for songs - yes. I generally sing the choir song for the week in my mind for another week. And then really dumb commercials get stuck there and I have to work at getting them out. But usually it's a good song that lands and stays.
Baseball - the Rockies certainly don't struggle. Though I don't watch, I like to see my home teams do well. The Nuggets gave fans a great year, and just ended their run a couple of days ago, one game shy of the championship. First time in many years.
Have a great week!
Anni, the movie idea is a really good one and I'll bet Irene will be thrilled. The cats were too cute for words.
ReplyDeleteI too have made dvd's of the kids, our Christmas's, etc....I like Nero 6 or 9....it's an easy one to use....it is fun to do...I did find that making short ones works better, because when the dvd is so long, people get ansy....so I usually do like a birthday party, or Christmas of the year.....have fun.....
ReplyDeleteThat movie you are making is going to be a real TREAT for Irene - and the boys! She will cherish it forever! And I know it will be beautiful because you are sO graphically inclined!
ReplyDeleteI DO get songs stuck in my head ALL the time! Sometimes for DAYS! I don't mind a bit - I love a song in my head! I'm not familiar with those you speak of though... the lyrics are nice to that one though...
Do you know I have not even GLANCED at the orioles this year? Sheeeeesh! I guess I better at least visit their website and check up on 'em! I MIGHT be missing something!!! Wouldn't it be sad if they had a winning season and I missed it! LOL!
oh, most days there's a song playing in my head... i call it life's background music. and what a cool project you're busy with!!! super super cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you! for the information on the song! I've been wanting it for my ipod for awhile. I just love it, it runs through my head off and on now and again, too.
ReplyDeleteBoy, I can sure identify with your comments about songs getting stuck in your head! As a matter of fact, Annie, I did a post about just that topic back in February:

Sorry, I've not been by lately; sure do enjoy catching up with your whirlwind goings on!
Warm wishes (Phoenix-style) for a great new week!
Myra
My dad makes DVDs like the project you're working on. In fact, that's how we got him to stop freaking out over having to retire so early, LOL! He does all the photo work for me and my blog because I'm just nowhere near as good at it as he is.
ReplyDeleteAs for music getting stuck in the head -- it happens to me on a regular basis. A couple of months ago, it was "Hallelujah." These days, it's any song from Phantom of the Opera. Who knows what it will be next week...
The DVD project sounds great. Maybe I should start now before its too late. lol.
ReplyDeleteI like that song from the phone commercial too. Thanks for doing the googling for me ;-)
That Jack in the Box mini sirloin burger commercial has been stuck in my head
ReplyDelete"herdin' cows the size of schnauzers but they're cattle"
yikes
