Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

Join Here

Innocence of youth: 'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust...' He would have continued but at that moment a small girl who was listening intently to his sermon, leaned over to her mother beside her, then asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice, 'Mommy, what is butt dust?'

With that little bit of humor added above, I begin my post today...

For Photo Hunt's theme this week, it's 'TOGETHER'.

While setting out a bit of Thanksgiving decorations around the house, I leave the room for just a minute or two and what do I come back to witness? Our Winston [dressed in white from head to toe] and Tahoe [in her best black gown]...on a table!!! Together!!! Together in mischief to be more exact. Do they look innocent or guilty for being caught on a table?

What a duo, huh? They both have trouble written all over their expression. Ya, right!!! More like: "Okay, Anni, so you caught us. Big deal. Now don't you think this is a Kodak moment?" "Blog us!"

--OR--

What goes together with a good meal?
A homemade dessert.
From a mix these days...

Just mix the cake mix together with the pecans
and top it all off with cream cheese frosting.
Spicy carrot cake with pecan pieces, topped with the cream cheese?....
Together...a great combination.

  4. Wonderful cat. Mischief, I'd say. I think I've made that cake before. I love a moist carrot cake from a box or from scratch -- and of course it must have cream cheese frosting. The pecan are always a welcome bonus.

    My *together* is up also.

  6. Ah, Winston & Tahoe are merely taking possession - together. They're saying: "We wondered where these went - We haven't seen them in at least a year!"

    Mine's a little, um silly, I guess:

  19. LOL … thanks for the chuckles first thing. Yup … well ya have to expect trouble from cats, right? How ‘kewl’ that you have black & white pets like me … though only one of mine is a cat. My sister believes a meal isn’t over until she’s had dessert ;--)

I see you’ve ‘embedded’ your comments again. I did that too and am hoping for the best.
    Hugs and blessings,

  23. I had a good laugh about the "butt dust". Too cute!

Had to look twice to see the second cat in your photo. My cat gets on the table too, when he knows he won't get yelled at, which is most of the time...

  24. LOL at the joke!

My cats are the same way! You lay ANYTHING new on ANY flat surface and ONE of them is on it like a magnet! Big Kitty just about drove me nuts during the painting process... I really HAD to lock him in the basement! I'd paint a cabinet door, turn around and find him LAYING in the wet paint! OY! Talk about TROUBLE! I guess I SHOULD have thought to make that a Kodak moment - but I didn't...

I never thought to add walnuts to my carrot cake -- WHAT a GREAT idea! I will do that NEXT time! Yes indeed!

  25. after reading all the comments, i realize i am the only one who doesnt understand butt dust :)

  28. Anni,

Winston and Tahoe are quite the team. They look beautiful together. And the cake, Mmm! It's been a while since I had any kind of cake and I can't eat it from a mix. Have to make it from scratch and use Sple*nda.

I enjoyed your Photo Hunt. Take care and have a great weekend. I'm off to watch the boys.

    Hugs,
    Mary

  39. I like your "together" picture for today, Anni. I can't see the black cat very well, but the white one is beautiful. So big and fluffy.

I posted for today, a picture of four generations "together" for a photo shoot.

I love carrot cake. Will have to try this simple version.

  53. Gday Dear Anni, Are Winston and Tahoe are 2 real cute kittens looking to get into mischief...

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh, you are toooo funny. I must pass that little joke along..

Your little dressed up pussycats look like they could go either way - guilty or innocent. If they are like my little furry friends, they perhaps have not yet made up their minds. Perhaps they were waiting for you to leave the room again. Most pussycats like to get into trouble when Mama is not around.

    Have a great day!
