Next week "SHOES"
definition: CANDY - A more or less solid article of confectionery -oftentimes with nuts *hint*!! ::choke:: Oops, excuse me!! Ahhhhhh, ::shrugging:: "Who cares" - "When you get to be my age, talk like this is a given!" "Isn't it?" "Around here, it is anyway!!"
No nuts here...but there is a warning label that states manufactured where nuts are used ---don't know what that means ::giggles::, but in any case...candy!

Easy as one two three!! In fact, three is a serving size. And I say to this, that's malarkey! Get real...one serving is more like 1/2 bag!!!! At least. And one more thing?------I bought this bag just to have something for the hunt! No, really!! :::hiding my crossed fingers behind my back::: Honest!!! And then, more importantly.....
A sweet confection with perhaps some goobers mixed in for the following? You decide!!

EYE CANDY with the above mentioned additive!!!
This is the program that I've saved, in my
Yes, eye candy.

Friday we went to the opening showing of the newly released movie, Narnia: Prince Caspian. To tell the truth, I vaguely recalled the movie we saw [and have the DVD] that was released in 2005 - "the lion witch and wardrobe" of the series. But, I do remember mostly it was good. LOL As I and Bud love movies, we've waited patiently for a well-written movie to be released since the writer's strike months ago. AND! We're anxiously awaiting the one coming to town on Thursday of this following week...Indiana Jones! ::humming the theme as I type!:: I. J. and the Crystal Skull looks promising from what I've seen in previews, and it perhaps will close the book on a 'love interest of Indy -Marion- and perhaps introduce us to a 'new' Jones...Jr., Jr.!!Anyway, back to Narnia. It was excellent. I liked this one a LOT better than the first one. I think it had more of a story than the first one too. At least I could understand and follow this one much better. Of course if I hadn't seen the Lion Witch and Wardrobe first, I would not have known what the heck was going on from the beginning. I must say this one, from the train depot through the adventure [as the mouse says in the movie, "Humans have no imagination!"] and back to the train depot at the end, excellent. The music was great. I don't think it ever 'skipped a beat' with the action. The special effects and the creatures were superb to my estimation. Loved the Narnian 'tricks' during the battle and the underground stint...it was clever, and made me want to cheer, of course, 'cause the bad guys were getting their armour skunked. The kids have grown a bit, but still the same cast along with a newbie, the Prince of Caspian. I applaud C. S. Lewis. I've never read the book series, but after seeing the 2nd one I'm inclined to sit down and read them someday real soon.
YEA! Some one who has seen this movie!! I read Chronicles of Narnia as a kid - twice actually. And I have read them all a few times as an adult. I am so excited about seeing this movie!! We may make a point to go see it Sunday. Glad that you liked it.
ReplyDeleteAnd Rod Stewart? Yeah, definitley eye candy!!
Be blessed.
Jen
Oh, I'm glad to see the new Narnia movie is good. My hubby wanted to see that for our anniversary, but I wasn't sure if it would be good, so now we can officially go see it :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, now I'm in the mood for some twizzlers and a movie!
Oh, I love Twizzlers! And hubby has Rod Stewart cds. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is one of my children's favorite movies. I have read all the books for this series!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Anni.
ROFL! Well... I wish I could be addicted to something as "safe" and low cal as Twizzlers! Noooooooooo... for me it's ALL ABOUT CHOCOLATE!!! I don't really care for any other kind of candy ... well except caramel! NOT that I won't EAT it... I just don't "care for it"... enought to BUY it! LOL! As for our good buddy Mr. Stewart... I've always considered his VOICE to be EAR candy... but I've NEVER thought of him as EYE candy! But I'll shut my eyes and he can croon to me alllllllll night long!
ReplyDeleteLook at you and that candy!! It's safe when I am around since I won't touch it, lol.
ReplyDeleteLove your eye candy! first of all I love his music and secondly: it's my type! not those young ones who could be my son :)
Happy Saturday and happy hunting !
I read the Narnia series a few years ago -- it is excellent! I want to read it again some time.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Melli -- chocolate is my candy of choice, too! But I know a few people who prefer gummy stuff.
I like Rod Stewart too ! He is still "in" and doesn't age !
ReplyDeleteI came back from Greece yesterday afternoon and have a lot to catch up and also sort out my pictures.
Thank you for the review, as we are dciding on a flick for tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteThe warning that a product is made where peanuts are used is essential to some folks with sever peanut allergies. Some are so sensitive that that nearness is enough, and knowing a healthy teenager who was assured that there were no peanuts in her salad and spent nearly a year in rehab to recover what she could of her muscle control and speech after nearly dying, I can say that it is a good warning.
Katney: Yes, I know about the allergies of nuts of any kind....I was being funny in a 'nut'ty way. Regarding a whole different kind!! ~Anni
Your Candy looks tasty, great blog.
ReplyDeletePop over and have a piece of choc with me.
I like twizzlers, 10% extra is a treat, Miss Bee loves Rod Stewart.
ReplyDeleteohh, I can see those fingers crossed.... *lol*
ReplyDeleteSometimes my Mommie buys Twizzlers because they are lowfat and she thinks she can eat a lot of them. She tries to stop at 6 sticks though. I never tried a Twizzler before. They look like a fun toy!
ReplyDeleteps: Thanks for saying nice things about my photos!
Anni, I love the color of Twizzlers though I'm not big on them. And Rod Stewart was a hit when I was in grade school. I still remember some of his songs like Do You Think I'm Sexy and Some Guys Have All the Luck. Lol.
ReplyDeleteAh, I tried so hard in mine to avoid the word nuts:) Nobody's noticed though!
ReplyDeleteLove the eye candy - best candy of all!
thanks for visiting earlier:)
Well, you are totally nuts!!! And that's what I love about you :-)
ReplyDeleteAh, and Rod, yes, I must admit that he does look better now than ever before for some reason!
I thought of eye candy at once I read what's the theme was, but no time to do some real eye candy shots and besides it's Mr L's birthday and guests are arriving soon, so....
Awesome PH entry Anni, and my hubby's fave is Twizzlers :)
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, I see a lot of eye candy as well as regular candy!
ReplyDeleteAt last! Someone put up a picture of licorice! I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt seems this theme is a very unhealthy one LOL!! I don't think we have Twizzlers here in Malta, but I'm sure I'd like them... though with sweets (NOT with chocolate!) I'm keeping to my resolution not to have any as they really cause me pain. Bummer... I don't think I want to see more candy hunts!!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Anni! :)
Love your eye candy....that is a good take on the theme.
ReplyDeleteNow I want to see the new movie!

My youngest son ADORES, no, he is CRAZY for Twizzlers. Personally? I think they are too chewy, but not for my guy.

Yes, I like Rod Stewart too. I have actually met him before! He is kinda short! :D But nice... I have a lot of his songs on my ipod.
ReplyDeleteLast night we saw Prince Caspian too. Great Movie!!
Anni,
ReplyDeleteWow! You got to see him LIVE? You are so lucky. I wouldn't have sold my house if I had those tickets either. Glad you held out. LOL
I loved black licorice as a kid - not the pipes, but the twizzlers. I can't eat much candy anymore, but do coax the boys into giving me a piece of their red when they have it, which isn't often.
I want to take the boys to see Prince Caspian. We saw The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and it was good. And you say this one is so much better... I'll be digging in my piggy bank to find enough money to go. LOL
Take care and thank you once again for the beautiful web design that you made for me and for adding it to my blog. I absolutely LOVE it!!!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Mary

Oh, terrific shot of the Twizzlers - I love them and would definitely eat more than three! And I really like your Rod Stewart eye candy!!!
ReplyDeleteTwizzlers are great. Though they have some new ones out that grape, watermelon, lemon, and something else, they aren't that good.
ReplyDeletenot sure about rod stewart but the twizzlers look yummy!
ReplyDeletegreat post!
I think you would like the books. After the first movie I sat down and read the whole thing and I mean that is a lot of reading too. I enjoyed them all and waiting for this movie to come out. Will hopefully see it this week sometime.

ReplyDeleteseeing the twizzlers brings to mind a song"I want candy......"
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big candy eater, so this week's theme has been difficult for me. I like your "eye" candy interpretation. =) My daughter saw Prince Caspian last night and loved it. I can't wait to see it myself. Hope you have a sweet and delicious weekend, Anni!

Twizzlers are yummy in my tummy!! Rod Stewart is yummy to my eyes!! I love the Narnia books, cannot wait to see the new movie. Love you my friend.
ReplyDeleteOur mom says Twizzlers are yummy! She misses them, because you can't buy them in Germany.
ReplyDeleteWow Anni, That is a lot to take in all at once, thanks for coming by. Nice review and photos.
ReplyDeleteThe Sunday Snippet sure gave me a good laugh. I am a teacher and have been known to refer to my students as 'my kids'. Thanks to the Snippet I will be using the term more cautiously when outside of the work place!
ReplyDeleteI saw rod in concert in Manchester a few years ago, was a very good show :-)
ReplyDeleteHehe. All look yummy. :D
