The morning was mild, the wind was a bit brisk, and the channel was choppy. But it was pleasant when I walked the beach! Not only many small shells washed ashore, [I was wishing I could find a shark's tooth like Martha did!] but I spotted several washed up starfish! I grabbed one on the way back after I finished my walk and took it home. After it dried for a couple of days, I then took a soft bristled toothbrush and cleaned the sand off, then soaked it in a bleach and water solution. It's now sitting on the counter next to all my sand dollars and crucifix fish carcass. They're called crucifix fish because the skeleton resembles Christ at the cross. I did a search on my blog table of contents and found a link to a previous post: See here. Anyway, a pleasant day all the way around. On the way home I stopped at the farmer's market and bought mangoes and some freshly baked cranberry/orange muffins....
